I count myself as lucky, as I never had to watch my parents argue like that or get divorced since they never married in the first place. Mom's boyfriends were able to simulate the experience though (one used the dk side special on her in real life, one trued to shoot us, etc). I think I made it through the four big ones on my own or with a pillow over my ears and my 3ds, but dad came in clutch last year with some noise cancelling headphones that I haven't needed for that too often yet. I never really thought I had it too bad, and to be honest I still don't think I did. I'm only 13, 14 in a few months, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people had it worse. MASSIVE respect to those of you who did.

as a dk main i enjoyed the video but i'd usaly forwaad grab and not throw my enemy toward the ledge.I'd jump of the stage and then down throw.cus their farther from the stage.Doesn't work for rob and meta knight.Rob has a ubsurdly good recovery for the cargo roll.

How far we've come, first, Universal tried to sue Nintendo over their DK character, now, they're making a Nintendo movie. Crazy how much things have changed.

Idk how to consistently pick them up and walk. Do they have to be at a certain percentage? Or is it a tilt

For the back cargo throw off stage you could turn around and then jump off so you are facing the stage then down throw. I find it more consistent than back throw.

Not using forward into down throw? forward throw, walk off stage straight and down throw will send them vertically for an ez KO, if not it sends them to the bottom corner the hardest place to recover

Technically he's first appearance was in donkey Kong country cause the arcade DK and today's DK are not the same the arcade DK is actually a character know as cranky Kong today but I know this video is 4 years old so not a lot of people knew back then

Also if you land a side special, at about 40% you can down tilt 3 times and it won't unbury. You can use that to get some extra damage before using Giant Punch for easier kill confirms.

as someone who recently became a dk main (aka ive always been one i bought smash just about one month ago) these tips have helped out a lot and tonight im supposed to teach my dad how to play smash and then he will be in for a world of pain. Thanks choc

For some reason i use the funny kong copter way to much while using a lifesteal spirit, about recovers around 1.5 damage. also foward air is good for killing.

Another fun fact about DK, in Japan his original name was “monkey Kong” but in America it’s donkey Kong simply due to a translation error.

As a fellow DK main I respect this man because he is also my favorite Nintendo character

i personally love to use a down air ground spike to a up air to another up air then a instant up special

This isn't very helpful when you don't know what controls to press to be able to do these moves...

Forward-down throw is actually pretty good off stage, since it can send far off stage and kill characters with lesser recoveries at early percentages. It's also a better, but riskier option for stage spikes. It's a lot more difficult to land than the forward-back throw stage spike, but if you're facing the stage after you jump off, and forward-down throw against the stage, it kills a lot earlier and sends the opponent down at a way better angle. It is a lot harder to land though, and you're way more likely to miss the spot where it KOs. If you can get good at landing it though, it's a way more deadly option than forward-back throw stage spikes, since it gives the opponent less time to tech/react.
