hi thank you for this! i have a question, to make sure i understand for digital games, if you delete the game from one of the two switches, do you still need an internet connection to play? :o If there’s only one game doesn’t it recognize it as the only one?

I have a nintendo switch on which I have pokemon brilliant diamond. I want to buy another nintendo switch and buy pokemon shining pearl so I can trade and get the pokemon on both consoles. my question is do I need a whole new nintendo account on the new console to be able to trade with myself or can I use the same nintendo switch account on both, but obviously pearl on one and diamond on the other?

am i able to do both save data transfer things? Like am I able to transfer everygame with the backup supported but do the "transfer the whole game to the other switch and delete the data on old one" with the games that arent supported with the backup thing?

heyoooo, hum i'd love to know if there is any problem with the accounts ? I have two switches and i am supposed to get new acnh soon soon and i'm wondering :

- I have access to the "played hours" of my original acnh on my new switch even tho i havent played that game on this new switch. Does that mean the datas of my old game are on this new console ?

- I am using the same account on both : when i'll start the new acnh with this account, am i going to be able to visit my old town on the other swtich ? idk if that makes sens + sorry i'm french, not sure of my english skills !

i shame nintendo for FN only letting us use 1 switch to pkay digital copys of games without wifi.... i detest that lol wouldnt it make sense that ur primary switch is always at home so theres wifi and your secondary like a switch lite is your "travel or on the go" switch hence you should be able to play everything with no wifi... like i dont understand why they cant make it easier.. we bought the games (overpriced_ and we bought multiple switches that do the exact same thing.. sorry i was holding all that in for 3 years LMAO

Hey so maybe someone here can help me.
I am currently thinking about starting a second island on another Switch system. My problem is that obviously I don’t want to lose my Save Data from my first island.
Here is what I have. So I have one physical copy of Animal Crossing new horizons and a digital copy of the DLC (I don’t really need the dlc on my second island). I have two switches both with one Nintendo account. I do have automatic cloud save on because I change between them a lot for example when I am away or at home.
However Animal Crossing does not pop up under Save Data backed up to cloud and I had to manually transfer my island to my primary switch. My question is can I now safely start a new island on my secondary switch with the physical copy of the game I own? And do I need to set up a second account if I want to trade between the islands.

One huge issue I’ve found is that Nintendo won’t let you play any of your downloaded games if any one of your downloaded games are being played. And no, I don’t mean the same exact game cause that would make sense. I mean if you had Mario Kart in one switch and Zelda on another, you can’t be playing them at the same time. This sucks cause my son plays Mario and I play Zelda.

@eeowna my son started a new BotW game, must have played a while to overwrite the auto saves, and then saved the game. Then cloud save backed it up.

The effect, I lost my finished BotW save. 100s of hours gone. And Nintendo said tough luck.

Is there a way to manually save a game? When I turned it off backups in general stopped. I really want point in time saves that are never overwritten but can't figure out how if possible.

okay i need help. i bought a switch and played pokémon scarlet on an account i made. i then returned the switch before the month policy but i kept the game. im now in the account where i played pokémon scarlet on but on my cousin’s switch. why is it making me start a new game? any help pls

So to clarify: I have a switch lite for travel and a standard Nintendo switch. If I want to play the AC:NH island that's on my standard switch, I would just need to download the save data and the game to my lite? And it will sync the save data for both?

Found a good Workaround on the net, when the Tranmsfer didn'T correctly find the Target-Console: Use a different WLAN, like the Mobile Hotspot on your Phone.

I have a problem in 1 month I bought 4 switches my first being the turquoise lite, then a v2 , then a broke switch to fix my baby mommas switch that our daughter broke(screen touch and sound no display) then lastly another used v2 switch cause I needed a dock for my first v2 (was cheaper and better deal then buying a new dock) it came with 3 games that I traded in to game stop for tears of the kingdom 😅

Is it possible to essentially duplicate the save data? I have the save backed up on the account on one switch, but I wanted to duplicate it in the sense that I can transfer the save to a different profile on the same switch using another switch as like a median. So I transfer it to the other switch first, and then transfer it to my other user using that other switch as the median.

So if i transfer data i will have all the stuff i had bought in specific games? Because my mom lost her yahoo account (it wont let her log in) so i have no way of getting in the switch account and im scared ill lose all my data on a game because i spent so much money buying stuff in it
