As a kid I always chose leo coz he could do that sword spin tornado

This brings back memories, everyday after school i would put this game on and play beginning to end. And to make it more challenging, i would put it on two player, and let the other turtle get defeated so i had to take on all the additional enemies to make it more challenging. Good times.

I just noticed now after all these years that they don't give you points for killing foot soldiers with the exploding barrels that you set off

Also found it amusing how fly Baxter Stockman was alive and well after we just same him explode in the boss fight just prior lol

Beating this game was and still is way more satisfying than beating TiT. I beat TiT countless times, but I can count the number of times I beat this one on one hand: 1 time.

Had a lot of fun playing this game back in the day! It’s actually a more fleshed out game than the arcade version!

This and Hyperstone Heist were my favorite TMNT games. I can see from where Shredder's Revenge took inspiration.

Was playing the cowabunga collection and they removed the pizza hut signs 😟I get why but I loved that little tie in. Now I want pizza.

Getting this game for my birthday 30 years ago was the highlight of my entire 9th year.

It was harder, damn near impossible, to beat a whole game bacc in the day because you couldn't save it...& your mom always told you to turn it off & that succed. Especially when you've gotten far & reached levels you've never reached before. It was fun, but boy was it rough😅💯💙💙💙

I have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga collection for PS5, and it has 13 games on there including this one

When you played the arcade verison 🕹️ and your dad brings you this as it’s all that was out then you literally played it to death and worshipped it - well my brother and I did .

In this game, you can use the NES controller, NES Max, NES Advantage, Jammer, Freedom Stick, Freedom Stick II, Supersonic The Joystick, the Gizmo Joystick, Maverick 2, The Game Handler, and other controllers and joysticks.

I remember playing this on an arcade game at a movie theater. Good times

What made Nintendo also great was its picture art on the cartridge wether games were good or bad

I don't know why but I do like the NES version of TMNT: the arcade game a bit more than the arcade original.

I remember the codes on the startup menu which would let you level select :D This was the best TMNT game. I've finished several times on both NES and Arcade platforms. Awesome memories. thanks NC

I liked the challenge of selecting 2 players, but letting the 2nd turtle get killed at the start, then playing through the game, extra points, more lives. Also, that coupon that came with the game expired December 31st, 1991. I was really tempted to print another out this last Christmas and run in piazza hut and ask if I was too late.... (30 years to the day too late) But I ended up feeling sick, which turned out to be covid....great start to this year.....ugghhhh....

This game is impressive for the hardware. I’m surprised it’s perfectly playable on inferior hardware compared to the original arcade.
