Straight Line Mechanisms, Exact Solutions

Converting rotary into smooth linear motion was one of the biggest kinematic problems inventors faced in the late 17th century. In this video we present a collection of 8 solutions that managed to draw an exactly straight line, recreated in the kinematics software ASOM v7.
