I have one that stopped working. It got a little sprinkled on by rain. After that is is dead. I replaced the batteries. It makes the beep when I cut it on but does no longer detect metal. The needle never moves after I turn it on.

He talks to everyone like their slow or little.

Will any coil connect to the T4? Or only certain ones? 🤔 Are they all universal I guess is what I'm trying to ask. 😁

Saw this because my 9 year old wants one and this model came up in a few articles. Definitely don’t want to spend over $100 that is easy use yet reliable—and hoping to get it even cheaper than that for Black Friday (Month…as has been the trend in retail sadly). $70 or less would be what I would like it for. 😂

So I live on an island with a beach where a-lot if wealthy people frolic on the beach and have talked to a gentleman down here, literally the only one I know who metal detects and has found quite a lot of jewelry which is what I am aiming for as well. I just have the stock coil and I was wondering if you could have any tips in where the best spot on the beach would be best. He’s said he’s found stuff on different locations and distances from the water. I’m about to watch your video on the settings to adjust the detector, any suggestions on what setting is best for finding gold jewelry? He has a forester I believe but I didn’t want to shell out $300 for my first detector. Is the coil waterproof at all on my bounty hunter? Or am I just setting myself up for a disaster and damage the device. Thanks for the informative videos, they really help. I tell you I am so exited to get out there and start looking since there really is nobody down here who participates in the hobby so there should be quite a lot of valuables to find. He only spends a few weeks down here at a time( not his primary residence) but he just found a $10,000 diamond ring and I would love to find something like that. Anyway, sorry for the long comment but any input would be greatly appreciated in terms of setting up my detector to find jewelry on the beach.

Any tips on using this on wet sand (saltwater) was told not to even try but I did find a large object (pliers) with the sensitivity way down in all metal (like at 60% or lower to avoid all the false positives)? Thanks.

My first metal detector :)

Is there a 12 inch coil for the Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202? Mine is very sensitive but more depth for hunting deep silver would be nice. I bought the Tracker 4 for my nephew and his son to use since they`re beginners and it`s such a great shallow coin machine. I went through my sister`s yard with the 202 and easily located the coins and even found a very old worn Walking Liberty half dollar.

Then I bought a cheap open box deal on a Minelab Vanquish 340 and went back over the yard and was overwhelmed with signals. It seems to pick up every grain of rust, trash, and is especially overwhelmed by rusty iron and never stopped beeping. I didn`t dig any targets yet but some numbers indicated silver. After the weather improves I`ll check. Just got a pinpointer. It`s deep though (13 inches air test on a nickel...probably picks up rusty nails at nearly two feet!) but the Bounty Hunter is superior for a person simply looking for shallower coins or a lost ring in my opinion. I haven`t yet learned how to properly use the Vanquish but I`m confident it will be a great machine for non trashy areas on deep silver or the beach if I ever go again.

I got a tracker iv off craigslist that was still like brand new for $25.00.....What amazed me more than anything was the recovery speed. I could literally hunt an iron infested cellar hole with one.....just wouldn't get to those 6+ inch targets is the only issue. Awesome machine for the cost.

People say the needle on these is useless. Not for a deaf person.
