Tulsa, Pittsburgh… it’s the “rise of the 2nd-tier city”
Ответить1) Infrastructure. Infrastructure. Infrastructure
ОтветитьUnregulated globalized capitalism.
ОтветитьMakes me wish I had chosen a career in construction. Such rewarding work!
ОтветитьConstruction teams are the real-life superheroes.
ОтветитьThe precision here is incredible! True craftsmanship.
ОтветитьImagina o dia que eles forem aqui na baixada fluminense do RJ 😂😂😂
ОтветитьNice😂 Pittsburgh. Put your trust in girls.
ОтветитьGovernments sending money to cities can be hit or miss. The Canadian government invested huge amounts of money into a select few cities. One of them in particular fumbled the ball terribly - or rather, the incompetent local politicians completely squandered the opportunity. Vancouver especially: Billions in infrastructure funding but refused to build homes. Government investment effectively helped cause home prices to Sky rocket (both land values and demand went up with the infrastructure) thanks to these loser local politicians. One important thing about the mayor(s) interviewed in this piece is that them seemed to genuinely care about their communities. In Canada, and especially Vancouver, the mayors seemed more concerned with their own self-serving interests.
The solution is easy: Just hold politicians accountable; legally and financially. Canada is really bad with this sort of thing.
Top down governance leaves vast swaths of poverty cause of corporate influence on government
ОтветитьYou need Wat Tyler.
ОтветитьQuality education, modern healthcare, social infrastructure that promotes cohesion among the communities and basic amenities like water, food, shelter, electricity and the internet should be made universal. It raises citizens aspirations, provides them a headstart and a platform to realise their true potential and dreams.
ОтветитьSure councils need more money and power. Maybe you should just do your job?
ОтветитьReviving of abandoned cities and buildings can solve the problems of homeless families and economic stagnation.
ОтветитьLVT + Zoning Reform
ОтветитьEvict poor people.
Ответить❤❤ thx u tube
ОтветитьThe Rich and the Poor
Human history
Human greed
Give poor low hanging fruits and keep rich away from it.
ОтветитьNew york city still lack of trees. So many other towns and villages around those Big Cities.
ОтветитьDont listen to those bull lies investors and turn those area into fantacy land. Fantacy lands still need Parks.
ОтветитьJust grow a lot of trees. Just buy all types of vegetations seeds and sread around those empty lands and front and back yards. Cheap houses and cheap areas look more expensive just because of trees and flowers.
ОтветитьThe tax revenue from London and south east should be spent on London and the south east.
People move to opportunities, not the other way round.
Let the north become an extension of Lake District/National Park while majority live in the south and propel the economy.
Can u imagine how wonderful this country could have been if the move to the suburbs had not happened. The cities would be vibrant areas homes taking care of. The farm land and woods animal habitat would be protected. Water would have been protected. What a shame
ОтветитьI think the angle they see or look at the problems is very narrow and limited, a bit superficial, a bit selfish, a bit cheap. They seem like don’t understand what is home, what is family, what is health, what is peace, what is alive, what is dead, what is not to be greedy.
ОтветитьZakat on artificial money is answer. Artificial money created by banks in form of credit or inflated assets should be taxed @2.5% annual gross value
ОтветитьSo Pittsburg is going to try to create a lot of high paying tech jobs that will drive up the housing costs so nobody will be able to afford to live there anymore. Be very careful with the high paying tech jobs or you might end up like San Francisco with high paid tech bros galore and unaffordable housing and a homeless problem. San Francisco has 20 of the Forbes 50 most promising AI companies and 35 of the 50 are in California. Which state has the most homeless?
ОтветитьWhat happened with the Economist's past advice to shift to service economy?
ОтветитьMany words about nothing
ОтветитьThis is all just hyper left-wing political propaganda. We have less poverty now than any other time in history. If you want to know what the problem is, just look at the fantasy lives people are living. People in regular jobs are flying overseas to watch Taylor Swift for goodness sake. They don't want to work. They don't produce. They want wages 10x higher than better workers in other countries. The average person is now a narcissist. Life got too easy for too many people. That's the real problem.
ОтветитьThe UK can't even supply it's own food, South Africa exports so much food for it.
Why not look at important backbone industries like agriculture.
This is what a unionised lazy population and an over reliance on social welfare creates
ОтветитьPeople will just stop having kids what’s the point when your in poverty
ОтветитьLike the decline of rome but to a magnitude of 100
ОтветитьNeed to diversify income. Need to up the availability of remote work. That could put money into those communities. Mix that with young people who want to love away from the urban sprawl
ОтветитьSustained investment is impossible with Tories and Republicans.
ОтветитьIts over rated out of fashion
In beginning was fun but will come a time its boring.
The biggest problem is the corrupt monarchies, leaders, politicians, governments, government agencies, corporations, and the protection goon squads throughout the world.
Replace them all with people who actually care about the people and their country or nation will go a long way to solving most of the worlds problems!!!
If that's not done Nothing will change!!!!
Invest in them
ОтветитьBefore anyone makes a comment about Race....
West Virginia falls into this category as well.
Italy should learn to revitalise its southern economic and population ❤🇮🇹🦾
ОтветитьPittsburgh collapsed because too many black people moved in during the early 1900s....by the 60s, there were just too many blacks...so the white people took flight....then the city declined in areas with high concentration of black people
ОтветитьWant to eradicate poverty????? Ask the Chinese.... they did it.... the only country to successfully eradicate poverty
ОтветитьHow to make a neighborhood look rich????? Simple..... kick out the black people.... here in gne USA, black and brown people turn every neighborhood they move into a ghetto
Ответитьwhich "rich world"?
ОтветитьHow can we make rich areas poorer? Maybe there's a link somewhere.
ОтветитьShaq, go back to rap school! lol.
ОтветитьI thought the first guy was Alexei Sayle.
ОтветитьThey moved all the lowest earners to the north. Gentrified. The poor in the North, the rich in the south.
Ответить
