I always loved flatline because of this scene. I feel like this one was a bit of a hidden gem of series 8.

The Boneless are absolutely Terrifying

The short little speech seems some time lord victorious kind of stuff

I genuinely thought this was a video game on ps3/xbox 360 at first, definitely says something about the CGI

Probably one of those few instances where the doctor uses the tardis as a weapon.

Here’s a theory, when this doctor sent them to their own dimension, maybe 2 of them ended up somewhere else, maybe just maybe, those 2 that survived the trip back ended up at the edge of creation… in the space station in the new season, and possibly they became… THE NOT THINGS!

Every time I see a clip of the 12th doctor. I audibly shout about how good Peter Calapadi was in this role. My doctor.

It makes me think about a sentence one of the doctors said (9th ? 10h ?) "nah, i never take the TARDIS with me, it's too powerfull weapon to be used". Here, we see it. The TARDIS has no problem to take away the Boneless.

I think the amazing entrance is partly the tardis.

She’s angry that the boneless leached her dimensional energy, trapped her thief inside and nearly got them both crushed by a train.

Tardis isn’t used to being the target of the enemy attack herself, usually it’s just the doctor being attacked.

I miss this standard of Doctor Who ....when this episode aired I was glued to it and so inspired by it the story the effects the energy everything was top tier ...without the need of a Disney budget .... Nearly a decade ago ...powerful stuff

This is definitely Capaldi’s equivalent to Matt Smith’s “Hello, I’m the Doctor” in the Eleventh Hour.

The Boneless are still one of the creatures I'm the most fascinated with. They are mysterious and visually amazing. I love weird, unorthodox monsters.

I started watching the show around 6 years old in 2012 just in time to experience the fiftieth, obviously Capaldi being the first regeneration I saw as it happened I was quite sad and really missed Matt especially after that phone call in deep breath, this, this was the scene that stole my heart and made my entire childhood, this is where Capaldi became MY doctor

Am I the only one who wishes they would stop making the Dr a Grand superhero? It takes away the peril and takes away his humility. I prefer him being a nerdy science geek who just happens to like time travel and uses his intellect to get out of impossible situations- not this "I AM THE PROTAGONIST, I AM THE HERO" stuff. It's just over and self indulgent writing.

There's like a whole universe in the TARDIS but OK yeah, he's running out of oxygen or suffocating on CO2.

I love Peter as the Doctor and how he does this speech the one for the zygon inversion he has some of the best scenes in my opinion

This scene alone made Capaldi my favorite doctor.

My favorite episode doing his run. And I actually enjoy how well Clara was actually written on this one.

I hope we get to see The Boneless again in a future story, it's such an interesting concept for a one off.

This is one of the few episodes they gifted the 12th some good story. ❤ Capaldi

The tardis had it's moment with this episode. Loved it!

Every time the Doctor regenerates, it takes time to adjust to the new actor, the new personality etc. and it took me a while to warm up to Capaldi. The darker undertone was much different the Doctor’s usual excitable and adventurous attitude.
But this scene right here is what finally did it for me. His performance here cleared away any doubt in my mind that this man was the Doctor. The speech here was brilliantly delivered and, in my eyes, this was the first time that 12 had to really put his foot down to say “I’m the Doctor, you can’t stop me.”
He quickly rose in my ranks to become my absolute favorite Doctor. Tom Baker was my favorite for a long time because his Doctor always seemed to have a positive attitude to even make bad news hilarious. Also jelly babies. But in my opinion, by the end of his run, Peter Capaldi’s Doctor epitomized all of the aspects that believe are core values of the Doctor.
But I could probably write several pages on that topic 😉

What's so great about the Doctor. If you come to Earth with nefarious intentions, if possible he will try to help you first of all, regardless of who you are or where you came from. But if you cross him, if you are determined to play the monster, he will take you down.

In short, the Doctor is the best friend/ally in the universe. But also the worst enemy.

Just not the Doctor until the Doctor is forced to commit mass murder.
