Lauren, think a simple lesson of charlie Daniels long haired country boy is possible? Thanks and keep up the good work!
Ответить❤love it
ОтветитьThe lesson was wonderful and helpful. But the perfromance of the song at the end is an amazing hidden gem. What a voice.
ОтветитьJust bought a guitar… thanks Lauren. This is perfect, of course I hit stop reply a lot but it’s helping. Thanks
ОтветитьI just want to say you have an amazing voice!
ОтветитьWhat guitar is that?
ОтветитьI just bought a gibson les paul, and i suck at guitar.. this video gave me hope.😊
ОтветитьGreat lesson! Look forward to seeing more of your videos!
Ответитьyou are actually the only yt'er who teaches songs slowly and for actual beginners. First Bad Moon Rising and now Simple Man, thank you
Ответитьelle est belle ta voix !
ОтветитьThank you for this video, Laura. I started to play many years ago in high school, but never made it to a solid intermediate level before life happened. I'm 60 now and my wife and I are setting up a music room in our home (she plays drums and I also started keyboards recently), so watching lessons like you showed here is a big help to bring up the level of my guitar playing.
ОтветитьCould play the song with sloppy arpeggios by the time the video finished i was so excitedly playing with strumming patterns.
ОтветитьSIMPLE MAN GUITAR LESSON
LIKE,LIKE,...
another variation, pull your index on the Am. And try pulling your pinky on the G, cool sound
ОтветитьHi Lauren, Just found this video and love that you specialise in teaching seniors. At 61 as you specialise at teaching seniors I wish you were UK based and were near me.
I just got my first guitar and found a tutor close by but is on holiday until mid October and I'm itching to start.
Nothing like a bit of Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Best wishes, Mark
Fantastic teaching provided students with its simple introduction and strumming making guitar easier and fun.KISS
ОтветитьAs an aspiring beginner I'm confused about the actual notes. On a piano every key has it's own note. It can be defined as an audio frequency. With strumming a guitar it seems to be multiple notes at once with mixed frequencies. How does that work out as a note when multiple strings are sounding?
ОтветитьThankyou
ОтветитьYou remind me of 6thgrade teacher Mr.Bourne, she played guitar for us in class and we would sing along, too 😎 cool
ОтветитьYou are a wonderful teacher! I am a beginner older adult and you explain guitar very easy i have learning difficulty and thanks for the easy lessons. You amazing at your job!
ОтветитьI'd love the link to the more advanced intro video! You pointed up but no link showed up. Thank you for these fantastic videos!
ОтветитьVery fun to learn, thank you
ОтветитьI don’t usually leave comments but this this was one of the best videos that I have ever used for learning guitar. I am currently taking classes and just trying to learn a little extra on the side for fun but the way you slow things down and show the charts the whole time is phenomenal!!! Thank you so much!!
ОтветитьI’m missing a string couldn’t play the whole thing
ОтветитьHi Laura I'm new to the guitar. On the last strum of each cord are you strumming slightly harder or is it the same pressure each strum
ОтветитьWish you lived here in SE Wi. I’m 61 and struggling with the whole thing. Thanks for your vids.
ОтветитьYou are awesome!
Ответитьi'm in Level 2 of your course, I'll try a challenge with the easy intro and perhaps the chord progression (slow!) with this Am chord! It's a lovely song, and this strumming pattern works very well! Ba Ba Bam..Ba Ba Bam...
robert, from Italy
I'm a 60 year old beginner, i have your beginner course. This song is what i aspire to and this video will help me greatly. I love your ways and find them most helpful. I also only have one arm which makes things a bit more difficult, so your easy chords are a great help. I have watched Dirk Thomson and have my chords worked out. My biggest problem is i can't play and sing, i go to pieces when i try.
ОтветитьI picked up my husband's guitar yesterday and randomly came across your videos. And now I can play a song. You take all the frustration out and keep the fun.
ОтветитьCool thanks
Ответитьreally good thank you
ОтветитьI have barely held a guitar and this video gave me the motivation to start learning. I keep coming back to it. I now practice every day for hours. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this great video 🎉
ОтветитьPlay the electric guitar
ОтветитьEnjoy the video me I'm 71 years old have a bunch of guitars have a bunch of banjos and never picked app once but I like to I'm getting a little too old so I'm going to try it So thank you and I'll be watching more have a good day
ОтветитьYour a great teacher you have the patience for us beginners thanks!
ОтветитьNice Camaro model!
ОтветитьYou make it so easy. My fingers don't want to work right.
ОтветитьI like listening to her better than Lenard Skinnard.
ОтветитьCan you please do some Ren songs. I love the way you teach, and I love Ren so.....
🎸🪘🐷🦍☮️⏰️
I like the sound better when you slow it down
ОтветитьLove the Gretsch on the wall. Have a semi hollow Gretch jr myself.
Ответитьnice,, well played.
ОтветитьYou explains so well
ОтветитьWell done, Sister! Thank you! Peace.
ОтветитьOh my God😂😂 there is a fine line between beginner and just butchering the hell out of the song😂😂 very stiff rhythm hand you do not strum with your arm young lady it's all in your wrist and she keeps saying the song is really fast😂😂 invested some singing lessons you did a lot of flat notes and it looks like she's reading the words from a piece of paper on a table if you don't put the finger picking in there then you're just butchering the song and if the song is too complicated for beginners start them off on Mary had a Little Lamb learn how to play guitar before you learn how to play your most favorite song,, rookie
ОтветитьSince this video isn’t tuned to the exact of Lynyrd Skynyrd it may seem off a bit. But if you use a chromatic tuner of some sort and set it to E Flat, Eb (Hendrix), or D Sharp you can tune each string to get the full sound. Joni Hendrix and Guns and Roses have some great E Flat songs you could look into
