I'm Never Going Back

Sirius stood outside No. 12, Grimmauld Place, his ears ringing. His head was spinning from everything that had happened. The crucios, the smashing vase, the screaming..... and above all the finality of his decision to leave.
He had no plan whatsoever. What he'd do, where he'd go next... He hadn't had the chance to think after all. The only thing he knew for sure, and he clung on to that fact, was that he had slammed that door behind him for the last time. He was never going back.
Never going back...
The words rang in his ears, and he realised only then that he had said them aloud. He wasn't sure how they made him feel. He was still in a daze, and more than anything else he felt lost.
He tried to keep his composure by running a list through his mind of all the people he could go to for help. There was Andromeda. She would understand without his having to explain; she knew more than anyone what this was like. But Sirius knew it wouldn't be fair on her to arrive at her doorstep unannounced at night, when she had little Nymphie to look after. Besides, she lived too far away. He had no idea how he'd get anywhere, for that matter. He didn't have any money on him; he'd been lucky to get away with his half-packed trunk. And he couldn't use magic either.
He shivered. It was a rather cold, windy night for a summer so hot and his thin cloak wasn't enough to keep him warm.
He glanced up at the sky worriedly. He'd have to move quickly, wherever he went; it was about to start raining. He thought again. He knew his friends would help. But he felt dizzy at the thought of having to explain to anyone what he had done. He wasn't ready to talk about it. He just couldn't. Plus, how would he get there? How would their families react? Andromeda was his only choice, although she lived nearly an hour away.
He set off, slowly. He didn't know if he would be able to manage the journey in his state, but he knew whatever happened he'd never return, and the thought was both overwhelming and comforting.
He had barely reached the next street when it started to rain heavily. The cold was getting to his bones now, which already hurt from their repeated endurance of the cruciatus curse. No, he thought, as he felt his consciousness fade. He had to go on.
He was delirious now, and had lost his sense of direction. He couldn't be far from Grimmauld Place yet, but it was already becoming increasingly difficult to find his way. He could hardly think straight. I have to, he told himself. Please. But he knew he couldn't go on. There was no sign of proper shelter around either, and at last he sat down defeated at the side of a road. He felt like a deer caught in the headlights.
And speaking of deer, and headlights.....
James was getting increasingly worried and restless. It was all because Sirius had tripped on his stairs the previous evening, and broken his 2-way mirror. Unknown to him, a shard of the mirror had fallen in his drawing room. And that shard showed James a horrific sight.
Walburga Black, looking crueler than ever, marched down the hall, wand out, screaming things James couldn't discern. A pause, a few words from Sirius, and then, in her devilish voice: "Crucio!"
No. James bit his lip so hard he tasted blood in his mouth. He knew Sirius was treated badly at home. But tortured like this?
A scream followed, then a grunt. Sirius was trying to get up, and continue yelling, although his words were slurred from the pain. She cursed him again. Would Sirius be able to stand this for much longer? Had he been facing this for all these years?
There was silence after Sirius's scream, for quite a while. Then a new quiet voice said something James couldn't make out. Walburga, flipping around, said in a dangerous whisper, "Do you want to be punished like your brother? Be quiet!"
And then, a deafening crash; a vase flew across the room. She screeched with mad rage. Sirius took advantage of her shock and ran up to his room as fast as he could in his state. James got a glimpse of his face as he ran. The sight made him drop and break his own mirror.
He tried to convince himself it would be okay. Maybe Sirius had faced this before. But how could he just leave him there? He glanced out at the window at the gathering clouds as his sense of unease increased. He had to check, no matter what. If his instincts were right....
He jumped out of bed. Mum had gone to bed early and Dad was away for work. They'd never miss him... Reaching for his invisibility cloak he formulated his craziest ever plan. He'd borrow his father's flying motorbike and ride it to Grimmauld Place. He could ride it. He'd secretly taken it out for short spins before. The thing went fast. He could reach there and back in no time, and he knew the way.
And so it was that Sirius, sitting on the road tired and defeated, saw a large purple motorbike with no visible driver flying straight towards him. James had, in a stroke of luck, begun to descend in just the right place. The headlights of the motorbike illuminated the figure on the road and James, recognising him immediately, landed right in front of him.
His breath caught at the sight. "Padfoot," he called gently. A wave of relief shot through an utterly shocked and confused Sirius at the sound of his voice.
"Are- are you serious?" Sirius stammered. James pulled the invisibility cloak off his head, and carefully suppressing the pain and anger in his voice at his friend's condition, he replied softly, "I'm James. You're Sirius." He broke into a warm, comforting smile, and Sirius broke down.
Sirius hadn't shed a tear when his mother had screamed at him, when she had used the cruciatus curse on him twice, when she had threatened Regulus for taking his side, when he had thrown that vase at her face, when he had finally slammed that door behind him for the last time and when he had found himself lost in the rain. But now for some reason, at this stupid pun, he couldn't keep it in anymore. It was going to be ok. His brother was here to take him home.
Close to tears himself and not knowing how to react, James quietly hauled the trunk up on his motorbike, held out his hand to help Sirius hop on, and just like that they were off.

We need to have this as a official movie 😩

I always return to this video because it shows us not only their tragic ending but how stupid they were, how they lived a life full of laughing and smiling being just crazy teenagers, having friends, falling in love. And then the adulthood came….
