This is just a draft. I will include your comments in the description and develop it to serve as a guide for other coldhouses in similar climates.

A coldhouse is not a cold house but a greenhouse without heating. Here it is a former heated greenhouse with single layer glass. It is on an open field without much additional protection in USDA zone 7b-8a.

Measures planned for improved heat retention:
-plant trees around greenhouse
-pond in greenhouse
-el heater on coldest nights
-water in barrels or hoses
-rocks
-wood stove
-dry leaves
-rotting plant matter for heat
-metal pipes in the ground for geothermal energy

Plese give well researched answers suited for the greenhouse. "grow durian there" is not a well researched answer.
