Question... I've done several updates successfully. This update I'm doing now seems to be stuck at 96%. I have a nano X ledger and I am updating via my laptop.
All the apps are updated looking at my laptop screen.
Any suggestions?

I transferred assets to my mobile app and I do see it there but I don't see it on my desktop ledger. Everything is updated too.

I’m so glad everyone else has been saved, as usual I am f u c k e d . Why don’t you mention properly thoroughly how to update the device? You did not mention how you even did it?? Did you do it on a lap top ? On a desktop? I don’t own a desktop! I’m ripping hair out of my head because I paid way to much for this piece of trash technology and can’t even use it!!!!!!

One question sir, it tells me to connect phone to cable for update, but can't do USB port on phone to Ledger, tried to do it on a laptop and it simply won't work for me, despite Bluetooth picking up its signal,

After the update and reinstalling the apps, do I need “add account” or does it automatically add the accounts I had already on my device?

So. if you have an iPhone and no laptop, you’re dead in the water. This sucks. I’m not going to purchase a laptop just so I can update the firmware.
This is why public adoption of crypto is so slow.
You know when you first pair your Ledger with the smartphone, the app checks to verify that it’s authentic. Why doesn’t it also check which firmware version is running? If I could have been prompted that my Ledger needs an update, it would have just saved me an hour of my time and grief.

When things don’t work and you don’t know why they don’t work, that doesn’t inspire confidence. I know I’m not the only non computer scientist trying to figure this out. It’s absolutely no wonder why more people don’t get into the technology.
The bank’s folding, inflation is through the roof, and people still don’t want to mess with all this hassle. 😂

I can also see why people don’t want to update their firmware. Being air gapped is sweet. Why give it up? If I had a lot of money in an account, I’d just buy a new Ledger instead of updating.

I try to connect to my computer, it won’t connect so it tells me to connect my ledger to my phone it won’t connect either. I can’t get it to connect on either my computer or my phone

I had to download ledger live again as it wasn't automatically letting me do a firmware update. The new ledger live looks sleek!
