I'm seriously considering getting a 7800xt right this minute, but I am not overly sure my 650 psw is enough, by my guess I only need 550-600 to power all my stuff.

Never seen my card(4070) go above 150w ,mostly around 90-130w(4k 60fps locked).

If you're planning to replace it in 2 years then 7800xt is indeed the better choice. But if you're planning to use it for 5 years , and more?
I'd say there's a 50$ price difference but I would spend 200$ more to get the 4070 instead.

Depending on game, these "FEEL" pretty close to each other. In my country the RX 7800 XT is a little cheaper, but seeing the EXTRA 80-90W usage on the RX 7800 XT in this video, it may get "more expensive" in the end (long term extra electricity usage).

This extra G.PWR, combined with my previous bad experience with Radeon cards (20 years ago, but stuck with me obviously), I would never buy anything else but Nvidia. I am not going to argue with anyone which is better, not my point, just my 30+ gaming experience did LEAD me to Nvidia as the "for me" safer choice :)

I honestly don't see how you could go 4070 over 7800 XT, I get that RT and DLSS are nice, but FSR isn't bad, and Rt on the 7800 XT isn't either. That mixed with significantly better rasterization performance makes the 7800 XT seem like the superior option.

Damn the comparison is so confusing, either you want above 10 to 15 more frames with cooler graphics card, or want to save 80 to 100 watts on nvidia as compared to amd using more power. Both have their perks.

I want to built RX 4070 with Ryzen 7 5800x and i have 1080p monitor.and when i test it in PC build Bottleneck calculator give me 31% Bottleneck
when i try test RX 7700xt it gave me 21.4% Bottelneck .
My qeustion is is that bottelneck calculator real can i play with this configuration in 1080p monitor cause i do not want to change it.

With DLSS on it’s no competition.

Noticed in a lot of test the AMD card tended to use more gpu memory and system memory then the nvidia card. Maybe that is reason amd card shows higher FPS as its dedicating more memory for gpu usage. In forza the amd was using 1.6gb more gpu and 4.2gb. The other games were less of a useage gap but still a gap non the less and could be a reason for fps difference.
Temp difference could be down to default fan curve. On top of RTX was stock clocks vs RX that was manufacture overclocked.

It's a pity because it doesn't beat it in terms of efficiency, too much power. Instead of showing me one man stronger than the first, he shows me that two men are stronger than one.

So it looks like overall, the higher the settings the better the RX 7800 XT is (Compared to the 4070). Looks like I went with the better option for my budget build😤
