Proverbs 31 | A Woman Who Fears The Lord Is To Be Praised

Sirach 42: 9-13
A daughter keeps her father secretly wakeful,
and worry over her robs him of sleep;
when she is young, lest she do not marry,
or if married, lest she be hated;
10 while a virgin, lest she be defiled
or become pregnant in her father’s house;
or having a husband, lest she prove unfaithful,
or, though married, lest she be barren.
11 Keep strict watch over a headstrong daughter,
lest she make you a laughingstock to your enemies,
a byword in the city and notorious[a] among the people,
and put you to shame before the great multitude.

12 Do not look upon any one for beauty,
and do not sit in the midst of women;
13 for from garments comes the moth,
and from a woman comes woman’s wickedness.

Scripture defines a godly woman

A woman after Gods heart
She knows her identity in Christ
She is aligned with God(knows her purpose not wandering)

Eve
Helper(not passive or weak) from rib beside him. Only the addition of woman helped, made in the image of God
Place God first then others then yourself(not neglect)
Caring humble gentle faithful nurturing selfless compassionate

Mary, Martha’s sister attentiveness to his word is more important than actions

I have spiritual gifts from God and I have always looked up to him and try my hardest to find him. I forget he is always with me. But I have anger issues cause of abuse as a child. I wasn't treated well as a child but at that time I was trying to follow God law by giving love to those who wronged me. Now I avoid them if they keep hurting me. Bur God still comes to help me. Now I'married and a caregiver

I can’t believe how wrong literally EVERYONE, especially women, have this entire chapter of proverbs 31

First, one of the very first things that is mentioned in the beginning of this passage, is that it is a PROPHECY.

And it s a prophecy that Lemual the King of Israel at the time, his mother taught him…

And every single characteristic that is described about WOMEN in this passage, Lemual’s mother is telling him to embody these virtues AS A KING.
so this is about how Nations who embody this FEMININE characteristic are “LIKE” all these things we find described in this passage.

Proverbs 31
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but you excel them all.

…so lemuals mother here is saying many women have done all these things she has described in the passage …. “ but you excel them all”
Shes not talking about her male son witch is a king, thats some how better at feminine virtues than women are themselves, she speaking about embodying these virtues as a king/ nation and to rule with this as A PART of the whole and to do this as a king/ruler/Nation is to excel over ANY women doing these things ON HER OWN.

So what is the prophecy about….?

How nation’s will be VIEWED who exhibit these kinds of qualities, starting at the top with the King.
( respected and highly valued)
…a Nation achieves this through fighting for it. I.e Valor.

You gave examples that are of no help to me. I knows I will never be a queen like Ester or the mother of Yeshua. I need practical help. Telling me about other incredible women does not teach me how to be incredible. The reading of Proverbs 31 only highlights my short comings. It does not tell me how to do what I must do to be what God wants me to be. I am sick of hearing about this perfect woman that I will never be and tired of people thinking that to point out some one else's good qualities will help me to have those qualities. I want and need practical help that walks me there, takes me step by step and teaches me. Teach me to have a gentle tongue after I have grown up in a world that has only harsh things to say. Teach me to be selfless in a world that is selfish. I am cruel of mouth and harsh in actions. I desperately want to change. How do I get there??? Tell me that. Teach me that!! I beg you please. 😢

Why do so many Churches turn a blind eye to Senior aged couples living together because the couple does not want to pay taxes or get social security diminished? Fornication is fornication. Fake wedding ceremony is wrong too. Where will the church be if the unmarried couple split and one suffers financial ruin while the other has protected their wealth?? The value God put on the wedding ceremony is blemished by His church allowing fornication. Sad.
