Great tutorial, I even managed to get better results a lot easier. I simply copied over all the Windows fonts from the windows/fonts directory on a Windows 10 pc. They all work on my Debian 11 pc.

I just copy and paste the fonts from a Windows PC.

I was searching for this for a long time now. Quit linux bc of the old installation way beeing broken. Although they dont still get picked up in the browser (css)...

that advised this to get MS fonts in Linux...
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras
a package which includes/installs...
ttf-mscorefonts-installer
When installing the EULA for mscorefonts appears. accept it and hey presto.

carlito and caladea fonts are already installed on debian, I didn't install them by myself

The best thing to do is download Calibri and Cambria fonts and installing it on your distro by going to home create a .fonts folder and extract the download fonts.
