one should keep religious leaders out of making a laugh just to make others happy. Having said I will not agree to the punishment she got, that was way too much. This is Sri Lanka, not europe to do these kinds of jokes about religious leaders, as everyone understands people are although not very religious, they will jump up and down when someone like Siddhartha is taken for a joke, do not forget he is the one who attained Nirvana for the time and respected so mch. It is simple, keep religions out of your comedies.

It's truly disheartening to see a comedian like Natasha face arrest for simply expressing their art and humor. The Yakka Puththu clearly misses the point—comedy is meant to challenge and provoke thought, not to be taken literally. Their actions only showcase their inability to grasp the context and content of the performance. Instead of reacting out of ignorance, they should try to understand the deeper message and the spirit of humor that drives such acts. Let’s stand up for freedom of expression and educate those who act without understanding.
