I was already tearing up during that scene between Eren and Armin in the paths, but the minute Armin started crying and mourning Eren, I completely broke down. I was SOBBING the whole rest of the episode’s ending.

Probably been pointed out already, but it seems you guys were distracted at that crucial moment when the survivors realized the gas would turn everyone into titans. That scene made the moment more soul-crushing than it already was. So maybe you were spared the further heartache? 🙃

It’s a shame so many people misunderstand the final scene of the show though. Many think this means the cycle will repeat and that Titans will return, thinking that everyone died in vain, but I don’t see it like this at all!

One of the main points of the show is that the Titans where NEVER the issue! Titans where just a tool humanity used to do what it will do no matter what happens: Fight and create conflict.

The Power of the Titans itself is simply a product of bad circimstances and choices made 2000 years ago. If you think about it, Ymir’s titan was created based on her core subconcious desire to stay alive and be free. Thus the parasite created a humongous body so nothing could harm her and the ability to heal her wounds. Sadly Ymir was a tragically naive child who didn’t know any better and sadly allowed herself and her powers to be used for terrible things, and ultimately had she just been allowed to pass away nothing more would have come of it. It was human greed that led to her body being desecrated and consumed, in a way mass breeding her ability in millions through inbreeding. Its no wonder the power was so perversed from its original state.

This would also explain WHY pure titans eat on compulsion. Because like life trying to multiply all they do is eat humans in the hopes they can carry on a titan ability subconciously.

But the kid in the future is in a completely different siuation than Ymir was. Instead of being chased by dogs into the tree full of fear, this future kid had a dog companion and appears to be an explorer.

Who knows what will happen when he connects with the new Parasite? Perhaps the power can now finally be used for good? Perhaps the choices he makes will lead to a better world, a time of miracles. Not a world without conflict but perhaps a better world where he alone can help others with this gift.

This is why the ending fills me wit Hope and wonder. THIS was the legacy of the scouts. Curiousity, exploration and wonder!

A true masterpiece!

I’m so glad I ran into you two’s channel, because unlike ALOT of people, you two truly seem to ubderstand this show and appreciate what its message is. Even when the rumbling began you both understood just how terrible it was, where so many people disturbingly still support eren, Floch and The Yeagerists or misunderstand the show and its intentions you two also struck me those that could really appreciate this show like I was able to. Thank you for an amazing reaction journey ❤

And I gotta say, for future shows, you guys, its okay to pause for a bit to collect yourself 😅 You can just edit out whatever time you are away, you don’t need to torture yourself for our sake

I'm pretty sure you guys won't see this comment since its one in like, thousands, but l still feel very strongly that l should put my voice out there.

I have made the case before and l will continue to make the case again, Eren should’ve completed the eradication of the whole population outside the island. Yes, the outcome of the island in the end still would’ve happened either way. We all know that conflict never ends because we all have a difference of beliefs and opinions, but l believe if he had succeeded, he would've brought the island even more time to exist before it could get nuked. I love the ending and what it represents, but it was a little bit unsatisfactory in the sense that Eren didn’t completely wiped them all out. Also, l hope you two know that Eren could've easily won the fight should he really wanted to via taking away the titan shifters powers or wiping everyone's memories away (with the exception of Mikasa and Levi), but we all know that that's not what he wanted as its against his nature to do so.

You don't understand why people like us supported the rumbling? That's completely fine. Aot is such a masterpiece that we all stand on different sides by the end of it, but the point is we believe that it would’ve been better if Eren succeeded because of the logic of the situation at hand? Yes, its morally wrong, yes its terrible, yes, its not justifiable, we get all of that, but to us it still would’ve been better if the island got more time than it did. We should be happy that they apperantly got a lot of time to exist anyways.

This is by far the worst reaction ever, it’s just every goddamn second their just crying…AND NO I CANT IGNORE IT, THEYRE IN EVERY REACTION MASHUP VIDEO EVER, FOR OVER A HOUR, they just cry nonstop…especially the blonde, who cries and smiles so weirdly it’s as if she’s forcing herself to cry, the baby face is not doing it, I BET SHE KNOWS IT TOO, when she keeps squinting and wiping away the tears, every minute!!! LEARN TO TAKE A BREATH…JUST WATCH THE SHOW…also, it’s not even that, ITS EVERY FUCKING EPISODE. for over a year I’ve dealt with it. But nah…this time…this is too much. I’ve edited this too many times as I’m watching the mashup, but you’re even crying at the goddamn end, while everyone else is chill and smiling…gonna go dry soon.

Legendary anime, and excellent soundtrack which played a huge role in making it even more legendary. Will go down as one the best animes in history, would not be suprised if its still remembered 2000 years from now or....20000 years from now.

I respect the both of ya. Only reactors to deep dive shows to the core. Mostly predicting major events. Love y'all. And I respectfully disagree with your ideas.
Okay so, say he does nothing. It'll be a show of Eldians and the characters you so dearly hold close eventually being murdered and the whole of paradis being wiped. So now in this timeline, you two will really be just like Eren, as in even though you knew the massive amount of people would die you literally did nothing. Turning a blind and doing nothing doesn't necessarily mean you are doing any lesser harm. And in the end only to wind up with the same cycle of war and genocide like we saw in the credits. Eren didn't just succeed in giving his friends a peaceful life, he gave their future generations 'peace' although after hundreds of years, the cycle began again. He garuanteed peace for quite a while. And he help lift the curse of Ymir and even Ymir herself. If he didn't there would still be some eldians with the powers of Titans being kept as slaves/prisoners for military power and what not.
I know you guys come from a place of empathy and genuine good but it really doesn't make any sense in issues such as this infact makes worse sense than what Eren did. But this is why this show is absolutely brilliant and beautiful in its own way. It is harsh and really questions one to pursue the more darker-sinister realities and possibilities of humanity and the world.

My son read the manga and told me that Isayama wrote 139 chapters and that the number 140 means freedom. Something Eren doesn’t get. Fucking broke me. 😢 Also, I read in a comment that the last song is Mikasa voice actor singing? This is the greatest story ever for me.

I am Japanese.
The foreshadowing of Attack on Titan is also in the numbers, and it's amazing.
104÷13=8
(104th Training Corps) ÷ (Ymir's 13-year curse) = (8 survivors)
The survivors of the 104th Training Corps
Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Connie, Reiner, Annie, Hitch, Historia,
There are 8 people, and the number 104 is a foreshadowing of how many people will survive at the end.

Also on page 13 of episode 1 of volume 1 of the manga.
There is only one flashback scene where Mikasa says ``See you later Eren'', but if you line up the calendar of 845, you get the number 13845, and on page 45 of episode 138 it says ``See you later Eren''. The scene depicts Mikasa kissing Eren.

Also, the year 2000 can be derived from the number 2000 if we look back at the story.

During his speech, Willy Tyber said that the person who built the three walls was the 145th King Fritz.
145 x 13 years = 1885
In the second episode of the manga, when the trainees graduate from training, the instructor says that the wall was built ``107 years ago.''
1885+107 years=1992

Eren's life expectancy is 8 years from the year he graduates from the training corps (because he was given an injection 5 years ago when he was a child).
1992+8=2000.
Attack on Titan also has foreshadowing in numbers
It's really amazing.

ARIGATO from Japan🇯🇵!! I always enjoy watching translated videos of you.

The scene of a baby being carried over the edge of a cliff by adults.
That baby's cry is that of Yuki Kaji's son, who plays Ellen.
Kaji actually recorded his son crying at home.
One of the theme of the Attack on Titan's story is "Succession."
This is a great production by the MAPPA.

Amazing anime, amazing reaction. I, myself am on Eren's side, not about the killing of inocent ppl, but saving your ppl of total destruction at all cost. I do not get ppl who hate this ending, he is just an angry kid trying his best doing the worst thing possible, but that thing being the only option he has.
Also, love the scouts, and their ideals, I would love to think that I would be strong enough to join them stopping Eren, bc it took a lot of courage to do that.
And the ending is super realistic, humans will always fight, there is no happy ending. Even if Eren killed everyone else, there would sure be wars among surviving Eldians. At least he bought them couple of hundreds of years, maybe even more. But circle of violance will never stop.
Also love that the kid with a dog is gonna start the circle all over. again

The scene of Eren and Mikasa in the cabin is supposed to be confusing, we're not supposed to understand what that is or where they are yet, that's intentional, that's why Mikasa doesn't understand at the start either and doesn't start to get into it till Eren talks about it, she's representing the public (and we feel in her shoes) and we're both supossed to be out of place and confused for the sudden scene that ends up being a revelation of more than one thing. The thing is that we do get the answer later, it is confirmed Eren visited her through the paths as he did with Armin and the rest, Mikasa herself says it.
