DO NOT bareshaft wood arrows unless you like breaking them.
ОтветитьFor your bone spurs: Calm ( calcium and magnesium) 1-2 teaspoon, boswellia 2 cap am & pm, yucca 500mg 2 Am & Pm, boron as directed. Castor oil Am &Pm . Try this combination. The spur forms when we have a deficit in calcium/ magnesium so our body takes it from the bone at a weak area to keep the levels in the blood at homeostasis. Dr. Robbi
ОтветитьI didnt look through all your videos Shaun and I have been watching pretty steadily from the beginning....have you made a bow yet? I'm sure there is some good bow wood you can get your hands on oit that way.
ОтветитьThanks for the video good luck
ОтветитьUse organic hexane free castor oil packs on your wrist bumps. It will alleviate the inflammation and tenderness. I use on my knees and back at night. It really helps!
ОтветитьHi James, you mentioned that you're going to start making bows, do you think you'd sell them too at some point in the future?
Ответить👀👍🇮🇪⚓
ОтветитьWell done. Great video. Keep being awesome.
ОтветитьNever knew so much goes into a good arrow!! Did the Indians know all this??
ОтветитьI buy my shafts at Home Depot they’re oak I’ve never had one break.
ОтветитьI too made an historical Comanche bow, and accurate sized arrows. I artifact hunt so I put points I’ve dug on the arrows. It’s got a 35 lb pull kill range of 60’. I made it from a maple stave with rawhide backing.
ОтветитьI have been watching you for years and enjoy your channel. You mentioned Port Orford Cedar. I live in Port Orford, Oregon and have a few Port Orford Cedars on my property, that we baby as most of the P. O. Cedars have died off. They are truly beautiful trees! Glad you could get some. Looking forward to many of your future projects!
ОтветитьYou talk about painting your arrows white so you can see it's flight and you can see the blood path arrows were painted white back in the day using dried up bone for the exact same reason the Indian Savages with paint themselves White that's a smart lesson for people to understand from you thanks for the Learning lesson
Ответитьyou look thin my man why
ОтветитьIf it’s a ganglion cyst on your wrists - the old wives tale is to hit it with a bible. The best thing that could happen is you hitting it on something. Hubby gets them - and he uses the bible … it works lol. One time before he knew about wacking it with a bible he accidentally hit it while building the shed - it was gone lol
Ответить👍👍🏝
ОтветитьI also love traditional archery and bowhunting but prefer carbon arrows, always straight
Ответить🖐❤
ОтветитьHELLO:
ОтветитьNice commercial for Jackery
Ответитьmerci JAMES
ОтветитьHi Shawn. I watch all your channels in Africa. But miss some notifications of the latest additions of your sisters farm. But I want to know more about AG 1 please. Is there an email address or web page available. Please assist if you don't mind.
ОтветитьTimes flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.
ОтветитьI watch your progress on my cell as my husband controls his t.v. 100%. His health is failing and I am his caregiver, so I have to overlook some of his habits. But I have never given up my dream of fishing again. On my bucket list. Your cabin series are always an inspiration, Shawn.
ОтветитьBrings back lots of fond memories. Back in the early 50's my dad was big into everything archery. He bagged a lot of deer and game over the years, and even went on a bow hunting safari in the Belgian Congo and French Equatorial Africa, (as they were known then), with the infamous Fred Bear of the archery hunting world.
ОтветитьAwesome and outstanding as always
ОтветитьKeep up the good work buudy
ОтветитьSuper 👍🦋🇧🇪
ОтветитьFrom the offshore industry, i know that yellow is better visible than white. I have no experience however with blood on the paint
ОтветитьMy kids got me a bandsaw for Christmas around 10 years ago! I've used it so much, especially for making new handles for tools! Axes, hammers, mauls, etc!
ОтветитьShawn, I had this wrist issue. Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex (TFCC) is a structure located on the ulnar aspect of the wrist joint, between the ulna and the lunate and triquetrum bones. It plays a crucial role in stabilizing the wrist. It was building up protective tissue in that area.
Dr. had me wear a supported wrist brace 24/7 for 8 wks.
I also took CBD oil.
It's similar to carpal tunnel, from repetitive movements.
I remember my father making arrows and i got his kit box, bow and quiver when he passed. They are too strong for me to use but i just like having them.
Ответитьthank you for sharing
ОтветитьLove, love your videos!! Thank you so much for taking the time to share them with us!! Totally have enjoyed them for years!!
Gotta say tho….I’m hoping the diet is agreeing with you but wondering. You look really thin. Hoping you’re doing ok.
Love the video! I’m really interested in your bow, what kind of longbow is that? Thanks John.
ОтветитьThe bowstring is hitting your wrist, need a cover gauntlet. The other wrist is because of strength stress, smooth leather is best for this. I recommend one that covers also the thumb and index finger. OucH! Your hand smoked too. Might I suggest a hot pad near the tool shead stove? One more thing to add CO2 monitor battery operated for tool shead. STS = save thy self Good hunting!
ОтветитьSweet setup! Arrow building is definitely therapeutic. Liking the trad archery content lately.
I shoot a 40# Bodnik Quick Stick LB. I did DIY wool silencers also. When it comes to spacing for silencers there is a formula and it works!
1. Measure length of string that doesn’t touch the bow when strung
2. Multiply by 0.183
3. Install silencer at that distance on both ends of the string
Did that on mine with factory spec on the brace height and it’s dead quiet and zero hand shock. I’m in the 11-12gpp arrow weight which also helps with noise.
Cheers from the Ottawa Valley
👍😎🇨🇦🐾
ОтветитьThe way I learned about the bones in the arm are “R” under the “T”, or radius under the thumb.
ОтветитьShawn, how about a mushroom update?
Ответить😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
ОтветитьYour videos have become so product-centered (AG1, Jackery) it's a pity.
ОтветитьDigging the tradbow content
ОтветитьWonderful autumn video....thanks Shawn! Haven't archery hunted since '86....gonna change that and resume next year. Got a new bow and have started practicing lately although too late this season....can't wait!
ОтветитьStart of a ganglion cyst? I have one that is extremely tender
ОтветитьE o flo max delta 2 .they are the best .lithium iron batteries. Life saver
ОтветитьI like to see you use power tools. You've more than proven your skills without them.
ОтветитьTO:Shawn ,left a comment earlier to tell you that sounds like might have carptunnel in your wrist. I've have it in both for over twenty years now, doctor said they can remove it by surgery but can't grantee it won't come back. Either way wish you well
😊
Hey Shawn, I don’t understand the terminology but I do like the outcome and thanks again! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
ОтветитьBest to have 'em break now, huh? Too bad ya don't have tulip poplar {Liriodendron tulipifera) up there. Makes shafts as tough as doug fir and similar weight. Rabbit hide strips make great "tracers" to see where target was hit. Yeah, center-cut shelf will fool ya re how stiff shaft is necessary for good flight. Might want to consider building out shelf (leather) . . . bow would then require more flexible shaft to get around riser.
