I tried podiatrists, chiropractors, massage therapy, but The Good Feet store fixed my issues. I like that it’s lifetime and you use whatever shoes you prefer.

I suffered from plantar fasciatis for a long time in my 30s, eventually what fixed it was the opposite to this video. Not wearing running shoes with arch support and switching to being barefoot at home and wearing totally flat shoes with no support worked for me. I've not had a problem for over a decade now.

Thanks to this I got measured at a running shop. I now wear Brooks Ghost, on the 3rd pair. Usually I wear them for work, I can then wear my other footwear for a 4-5 hours without having any issues.

In your other video you showed shoes that looked like these and said they were terrible for plantar fasciitis because the thick heel raised the heel of the foot higher than the toe, stressing the calf. And that we should use a 'no drop' flat shoe where the heel was at the same level as the toes. So now I am confused. Should I have a totally flat shoe or one with a slight heel raise?

My PF went away by changing my diet. Switched to keto and within a week it was gone. I’m back to eating carbs because I run. However, I severely limit processed carbs and sugar.

What's also important to know is that there are different types of running shoes. Some running shoes are uncomfortable for daily use because they're specifically designed for running. Other running shoes will be designed more as good all-around shoes that are good for walking as well as running. Those are the shoes to look for. Either a slow paced running shoe or a good all-around running shoe. Not a race shoe or a tempo run shoe because shoes that are built for speed will be hard on your feet if you walk in them.

A lot of good running shoes to wear casually are in the categories of 'daily trainers', and 'recovery shoes', but be sure to do your research to make sure the running shoe you purchase is also good for walking.

Some of the best running shoes for walking (I've owned) are Asics Gel Kayano's, Brooks Ghosts, Nike Pegasus', and Adidas Ultraboosts. Some of these can get quite pricey, however, when it comes to your health, spending money on some properly good shoes is a good investment. Good shoes will effect your entire posture in a positive way. Wearing cheap, poorly designed, shoes can cause you a lot of serious problems. Especially as you get older. Plus, better shoes last far longer than cheap ones. Also, if you need a wide shoe, most running shoes will have a wide option.

I think I did the best job I could getting rid of my plantars fasciitis. Of course it feels like you’re walking on a broken beer bottle. Thankfully I only had it in my right foot and not both feet or I’m pretty sure I would’ve died from the pain.😩 immediately I ordered some orthotics online -that of course didn’t arrive for weeks. In the interim, I spent as much time off my feet literally in my recliner pulling my toes back to stretch out the calves. And when I wasn’t stretching, I was rolling my right foot on a freezing cold can of seltzer. It shapes to your foot and feels great.

What helped me the most was buying a pair of crocs & believe it or not using the Dr. Scholl’s kiosk at the local Walmart. The kiosk directed me to stand on it, and then it shows whatever it shows & I bought the suggested inserts -put them in my crocs & immediately felt relief.

The pain was gone in 3-4 Wks. Now I have inserts in my Crocs… orthotics in my flats and gel heels in my walking shoes.

I recently went to the "Good Feet Store" in California, and they sold me the expensive orthodic and wondering since I am flat foot, did I really need it?? I was getting cramps in my arch area and that is the reason I went to the Good Feet Store.

This makes no sense guys. You would never treat any other body part the way we treat feet. Imagin someone saying you need neck support and told you that you needed a collar or neck brace depending on how stiff or flexible your neck is. Makes zero sense.

Even though Bob has high arches, he feels most comfortable with motion control shoes. You'd think the cushion shoes are the way to go for him. And that's the point of the video. One style will not suit all, no matter what the foot condition or foot type. It's trial and error. If the foot still hurts, try a different style/brand etc.

I put my foot in the snow to find my outline. Hehe.
Also for some reason I wore basketball shoes and it worked for my medium arch feet. They fall under the last category they talk about.

This is actually very bad advice. The best solution to plantar fasciitis is to wear barefoot shoes. I’ve suffered with pf for years, and after 3 months of wearing barefoot shoes it completely went away. No arch support is the solution. Barefoot shoes allow your feet to move naturally, without a heel rise and a cramped toe box. They also prevent bunions and lower back issues.

This was recommended to me by a podiatrist. Remove the shoe bed if it has one and replace it with a Spenco Full Length Orthotic. There are S. Orthotics for both men and women. I've been wearing them for years in various types of shoes except dress shoes. For hiking boots they are perfect.
