Comparing a Tacoma to a bronco sport? I bought the bronco sport earlier this year, it’s super on fuel, parks anywhere (14.5 feet long),and has awd. The Tacoma was more comparable to a ford ranger or the Chevy small truck. It also costs more and Toyota wanted at least 2 percent more for financing, plus $20000 more in Canada at the time. A Subaru crosstrek is more like it, or that small Toyota Corolla cross… if you want to compare similar vehicles. Just on fuel alone, the bronco sport will save me money and on cruze control, it’s practically self driving….its the most high tech vehicle I’ve been in .I really love the automatic high beams, the auto wipers, the extra light as it turns, the back up camera, heated seats, MagSafe phone charger. It’s a great car, the paint you do have a valid point there.

The wife liked the Equnox, I think it rides a bit harsh and its a basic vehicle. $25,850 out the door. Its her car and the 2014 200 hard top convertible was becoming and electrical gremlin. Shame, it was a fun car.

Not just the 24 Jeep Wrangler that leaked! Previous years were also a big problem. I've had to drain and dry out numerous vehicles while working on the car lot. The repair is very costly if you do not catch the problem under warranty 😮

I don't understand how something designed to carry kids can have rear door handles that are so fragile. For what the MSRP is on a new Tahoe, I'd expect a tank just like the old GMT-800s.

Give up with the Ford "exploder" name. Childish you say it's like it cool or something, when 99% of people don't know what that means. Grow up. That's was due to Firestone tire in 1992. We have a 2016 sport with 102k and it's been a near perfect vehicle. Still original brakes and water pump, with no mechanical issues at all. We have several friends that own them and they love them. I wouldn't buy a 2020 and newer. We've only had to replace the power steering rack at 85k covered by the Ford ESP extended warranty.

The Jeep Wrangler is a fanboy toy. They always go offroading in a pack; I assume that's so at least one of them will make it back home. I had the 2006 Wrangler Unlimited and aside from its rugged looks, it was a total bomb.

Bronco sport 3 cylinder 1.5L except badlands model. 4 cylinder 2.0L.
The badlands with 3” lift and better tires makes a fairly decent off-road vehicle.

Bronco I think they have a bad front wheel design I saw one on a tow truck with front driver wheel side suapension down here on Kauai

Stay away from 2023 grand Cherokee. Bought mine July 1 2023 drove it for 5 weeks been in the shop since. Brake calipers failed, rear coil spring installed wrong. Speakers not screwed into the door panels. Tons of electrical and infotainment issues. Most of the time it was in the shop it was waiting for parts. But still 14+ weeks in the shop. I got lucky and the dealer let me return it at no cost to me and I’m walking away getting a cheap 15k suv cash interest rates are 6-10% for prime here in Canada

Every time I see the cars to avoid, I almost never see (or never) Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura and Mazda. One SUV that seems to always be the worse is Range Rover ....yet there is a ton of people that get them and it has to do with status symbol.....

We have a 2019 Equinox. It has probably been one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned, and we drive it a lot. It is a little underpowered though.

Newer models have more tech which is privacy nightmares. Car manufacturers will sell your data to anyone.

Funny you mentioned the GM SUV door handles that break. After the third time I returned to the Dealership with the same broken door handle they refused to warranty it because they said “ I used my doors too much”. It’s the last GM I’ve owned.

you pull the door handle and it comes off in your hand. brutal. are these vehicles made in china or are they just using chinese parts. sad state of affairs when veh manufacturers start cutting corners and using low quality components to save a few pennies per veh to increase their bottom line...profits. maybe even eliminating their QC dept to cut expenditures.
