You automatically reload after using deadeye so your point about keeping the rifle out instead of a 6 shooter is kinda a non-issue

How do you "get better" at a system that is unbelievably restrictive and MANDATORY auto aim? You dont. The combat in this video game is TERRIBLE. Period. Next gen game with ps2 combat.

i once was fighting a murfree and the game glitched so the fight was a mix of pistol whipping kicking, and robbing etc for 20 mins lol. after it went to normal arthur threw the brood to the ground by his collar and then shot him with flacos revolver (the one i had equipped)

Came here after getting domed in a duel I thought I was gonna win

while horseback when i have rifle it doesnt shoot can you tell me why??its only shoot when arthur have pistol or revolver...🙄

another tip i need to remember to do more often is to switch weapons from “hunting” to “human” when entering gunfight areas (leymoyne raiders or bounties)

fighting an ambush with varmit rifle (while doable and kinda fun) can throw you on back foot


another tip is to abuse consumables

when i first started i held onto them and waited too long

now i abuse those goodies

it finally happened

passing by cougar and panther spawn areas

i will have my springfield drawn and ready and passersby get all huffy and i say to myself “i hope these morons realize we are in big cat territory

out west (on road near west elizabeth trapper where cougar patrols) a npc got all huffy i had my rifle out

i saw the red quadrant on mini map light up so i instinctively maneuvered horse into a bit of a ranged/kite position and npc saw this as a threat (never mind the cat) and turned hostile

he fired a wimpy shot as his horse spooked and was mauled to death

i moved to get in perfect spot to get head shot as soon as cougar was done with its snack and got 2 stat cougar that procc’d into 3 star pelt

the only thing i have with having weapon drawn too long on horse is the camera visual is a bit different and i get some motion sensitivity issues once in awhile

Here are my combat tips.

Use higher ammo grades like express or high capacity ammo or explosive ammo and split point ammo on high duration battles.

Don’t just rely on buying higher weapon classes for extra damage ,know where all the higher more damage weapons are located. Example: lancaster repeater,semi auto shotgun.
If you know where they are located .

Double action revolver I find is a very powerful revolver.
Take your time crafting those split point bullets. Use animal fat to craft explosive bullets. Craft the living shit out of your defensive weapons. Analysis of all your weapons and use them! In the right situations.

I wasn't looking for tips i needed HELP! I'm stuck on a bar fight and i don't know what button to press when fist fighting.

Why do I always get tackled first idk what to do

While you are on your horse and you need to shoot the enemies behinde you do this
First slow your horse speed than but dont stop it then press and hold X to keep the horse speed still after that press R3 by this you will turn back way faster then aim and shoot remember to do all this on a sraight Path other Wise youll find yourself lied on the ground

How do you do weapon executions. Not the tackle one. The standing up ones. I forget. Not melee either . Or gun melee .. its like he hits with the gun then executes them
