Not a ford guy at all but your content is some of the most comprehensive well explained (for the layman) on the lubetube look forward to every video. Cheers kindly sir.
ОтветитьIt's understandable that old era cars like the 50's and 60's cars in Australia were such rust buckets, although that was bad enough. But it's shameful that modern era cars in Australia through the 70s, 80's and 90's were still rust buckets.
It's not like we spray salt on the roads in winter.
Also, I couldn't help noticing the black mildew on the underside of head liner.
This extremely variable weather, bloody hot one day, cold the next has been a pain. Things have been full on at work for me lately, and I find myself tired too, especially on the weekends, Monday mornings are a pain too.
ОтветитьPeter, love the thorough detail work you do before assembly! Rust abatement is the key to preservation. Excellent work + Videos! Cheers!
Ответитьa buddy of mine used to spray two pack paint without a mask when it first came out you want to see him now its put twenty years on him
ОтветитьGreat score with that fan. We had one of those when I was growing up in the ‘80s. Fans these days a noisy, rattling pieces of junk
ОтветитьHi Peter, looks like it could be acrylic gap filler like no more gaps?
Ответитьsince i had to go on steroids after an illness in 98 I've gone thru loads of pc chairs lol
ОтветитьHello Peter Phill with the XF Falcon may be able to shed some light on the interior light bracket you have the wrong one you need the one that is the same shape as the light you just take on out of a XF Falcon you will see that they are diffident to the one that you have great video as all ways
ОтветитьWe need some goldilocks weather, the large swings in Melbourne are annoying for working outside.
ОтветитьNice work pete 👍

Good score with the fan
G'day Peter, I'm glad that you've shown me some videos today, particularly you showing me your little green Corolla, the car you remind me of, and plus the same car as well. I've got too...
I've got some videos coming on a bit later, too, on to my channel as well.
Look after yourself, mate, catch up with you on the next one. From William.
Bill's Channel 1987
Bit spooky with a fan story at the end, I just put new brushes in my 1949 model fan…
no safety protection for anyone back then….
Good luck
Resurrections rather than restorations
ОтветитьYou do great work
ОтветитьI recently completed similar rust repairs in my XE and there was caulking material in the quarters. However it was a dark grey colour. Similar conclusion to you Peter that this held moisture in the quarters and caused or exacerbated the rust. Thanks for the videos. Great stuff.
ОтветитьHoover, a relic from the days we had a manufacturing industry in Australia!😢
ОтветитьLove how you bounce around your stuff from broken computer chair, to camera stand, to door being sprayed. Had me laughing.
ОтветитьThat fan's a beauty ! The white gunk could be "No more gaps" it's cheap & comes apart like that stuff.
ОтветитьLooking good Peter. 👍
Ответитьnice one on the fan at the end
ОтветитьHi Peter, glad to see the Interior Light going into the ZK. I pulled it out of an FC LTD over twenty years ago......I can't remember how it fit to the backing plate. I can confirm that the beers were not mine, recycled packaging 😂. Keep up the great work 😊
Ответитьfish and chip shop fans!
ОтветитьA shrinker/stretcher eh. You'll be giving Scott from CWM a run for his money. Another interesting video, thanks.
ОтветитьI've got a brand new back window rubber seal 🦭 if you want it
ОтветитьHi Peter just a question about your constant positive power source. You said that you feed it back to the rear of the car . Are you taping into the positive from the rear pillar lights near the parcel shelf or the boot light pre boot switch, I am assuming that the switch is a positive supply. Forgive my knowledge if I’m wrong. My car is a falcon gl so had the same interior light as yours and upgrading to the chrome map light like yours. I have 2 or 3 just need to select the best one and find a base plate wasn’t aware of them.
Last question I believe 10 amp wire will be sufficient do you need any further insulation around the wire as it’s located at the roof.
Love the videos keep up the good work.
