Woman were made a mockery to the public and I feel bad for the womans suffrage throughout the eons of time. The letter was marked not in betrayal I think there is another side to this story. I'm learning that it is not bad to love and be loved in any and all ways God sends you, but have the wise knowledge to see the difference

Great video. What a stupid fucking story. I love literature, I love reading, don't get me wrong. The Scarlet Letter is a shitty, unsatisfying read that is famous for no fucking reason than being popular with Christians for some reason because it fulfills their self hate fantasies. The entire premise of it is fucking bonkers. It's laughably unrealistic and set in some weird "idealistic' (IE fucking nightmare) Christian colony where there's only one adulterer in an entire town. The FAR MORE SATISFYING ROUTE for an ending, where Dimsdale actually marries and leaves with Hester, instead he just RANDOMLY DIES FOR NO DISCERNIBLE FUCKING REASON.

Fucking dumb. It's a bad book and people shouldn't need to read it in school, it has zero fucking value. It's almost as bad as Bless The Beasts and Children, which is definitively the worst book I've ever read in my life.

This book was assigned me for English class. Since I got less than 15 days to read and write a 2000 word long essay about it, I decided to read in my native language but it turns out that I do not even know even my mother tongue.
