I broke the 1/4-mile world record in this new HYPERCAR!

i was trying to find the footage of this car on one of the vids i watched- couldn't find it anywhere, and certainly no mention of what it was...thanx for the vid- this car is insane...

of all the cars i've seen on the racetracks in these videos, this one is the quickest and most stable...it literally sticks to the road, and flys like a bullet...

Here I am, watching comparisons on EV family cars then can across this. From what parallel universe did this came from? An EV with a 60KWH battery with 1000hp doing 0-60 in 1.4sec? This was not the EV family car I was looking for... 🤯

We need Sebastian Vettel to test drive this thing given his history with the Red Bull X1 project, and his interest in the environmental impact of racing, given that this McMurty is not only a fan car, but also fully electric.

Under 8 seconds for the 1/4 mile is great for drag racers Matt, but far more important for us road drivers, what was the 0-60mph time on that last run? It must have been faster than 1.4 seconds, but you forgot to mention it.

This is very cool, the Tesla Plaid or Rimac Nevera could be much quicker than they currently are but they can't put down their full torque until something like 150km/h due to insufficient traction, even with AWD. This car eliminates the problem by creating artificial downforce, allowing the rear tires to hook up fully. It's probably putting down 100% torque at zero rpm, while the other two can't do that until they're half way through the 1/4 mile. Brilliant.

Young Swiss engineers have developed an electric car that also uses a fan system for additional downforce, but it's way smaller and not for track use, just for the acceleration. That world-redord car named "mythen" has 326HP and weighs just 140 kilos.
It goes 0-100km/h in 0.956 seconds, needs only 12,3 meters of road to do that.

Whats the big deal, 1000hp 'electric' in a tiny car with fans that generate a huge amount of downforce, im not surprised at all by the performance, and please dont compare it to cars powered by combustion. And the title is misleading, you did not break the 1/4 mile world record.
Each to their own, I personally think its one of the ugliest looking cars ever made, ugliest looking toy car I should say.
