I have V50 - best 40P FM synth version
So many neat sounds!
Nice.😎😎🤗🤗
I never tried Quick Edit Function whilst playing.
Lovely sounds!
I honestly would love to hear what you could do with an Yamaha HS series organ, which have anywhere from 4 to 6 of these inside, plus a certain great FX unit :)
80s synth is the best IMHO
Ответитьa new synth in your collection ! the DX11 is the last true pure synth of the 80's , and yes is the best 4 operator of the 80's DX TX seires you can double your polyphonie if you connect it with a other DX11 our a TX81Z the expender version of the DX11 , nice DX !
The DX11/TX81Z is probably my favorite FM synth. It's so grungy. :)
Sensacional
Simply a beast.
I own a lot of old Yamaha's, last week I bought a DX 100 I always wanted. My fav is the FS1R
That sounded so authentically like a classic analog synthesizer, I might have believed that’s what it was if I wasn’t watching the video. You could also have convinced me if you used this in a mix that I was listening to a modeled analog synthesizer from 7 years later instead of a frequency modulation one from ‘88.
There was a DX–11 synthesizer in the music department of where I went to high school in Washingtonville, New York. I always wondered how it sounded. I don’t think it was Version 2, but I can imagine there was not much of a difference from that one to this one.
I only could afford the Yamaha Reface DX series 😁
ОтветитьSaludos! Saludos! 🍷
Some great sounds. I wonder why it only had four operators. The original DX7 had six.
This brings back memories, I remember looking at one of these in the shop before I bought my DX7 mk2. They had it on offer in the shop and did play around with it, I nearly bought this over the DX7 because I thought you got a lot for the money. God that was 1988 lol. Thanks for bringing this back to light. Great to see this synth again. Once again thanks for sharing this wonderful machine with us.
I am very regretful that I sold my DX11 so I could buy a laptop and become a self-employed computer programmer
So nice to have a proper DX synth demo that doesn’t just play FM brass and bell sounds! - sound design has moved on since the late 80s!
I've got the older sister of DX11, the V50. It's got the same synth engine and can run all of the TX81Z patches, yet it's a workstation with 8 track sequencer and drum machine! Ultimate FM synth in my opinion.
Am I imagining or the DX11 has a better sound than the DX7 MKII? Taking off the additional operators.
Thanks for sharing!
I don’t have Room or the Budget for many Hardware Synths as great as they are, but I do have Arturia’s Plugin Version of the DX-7 (V) and enjoy it!
With the Software Plugin versions you can have many Instances of the same synth on Software Instrument Tracks and the ability to automate over time their controls in a DAW like Logic, Ableton Live etc.
I am thinking though of buying a Hardware Synth though for the Hands-On experience; twisting the knobs, pushing sliders because using the mouse and clicking to assign modulations can take away the fun!
No way, I've not heard Space Gong in years! 😄❤️
Ответитьmy favourite synth ever! Extremely underrated to its big brother the DX7 and my 35yrs of programming custom emulations of acoustic instruments leave people astounded. Will post video soon.
The Yamaha TQ-5 is this without a keyboard. It has a nice built in sequencer as well.
I had one of these. It was stolen during a studio raid. Sadface.
Why does the title say V2? Was there a version 2 of dx11?
Having owned a lot of analog synths, and sort of ignoring FM synths (because certainly of the hype thing for analog stuff in the 2000's), I discovered afterwards that in reality, I just love a thousand times more FM sounds.. 😅 Don't follow the hype, just listen for yourself 😊
Swings and roundabouts.... DX7 was monotimbral, had more operators, but only Sine waves. Whereas the DX11 had fewer operators, but the operators had 8 different wave forms to chose from, and it was up to 8 voice multi timbral.. Thus you could layer some complex tones on top of each other...
I love your programming and the raw digital sounds.
Thanks for the demo! It reminds me how I missed more waveforms in DX7! 🙂
Apparently it competes with the PSR-90.
Just curious, how do you make synths last longer? Do you use a special connector to the wall.
Are there any differences between a synthesizer and a keyboard piano?
Das hat sogar mir gefallen!
