How long does it take for a pending transaction to go through?

Can you help me how can I get pending transaction money back,I payed £220 pound in Currys shop but they not giving back that money....my bank Lloyds,

It's funny how if you send a payment to a company to pay a debt, the money is zapped out of your account and reflected on your balance in one microseconds. However, if they owe you money, and they use the same ACH system, for some reason it take 3 to 10 days to arrive. If the government owes you money it takes 3 days to 50 years!

How long the pending transaction will takes?
