Leo I had such high hopes for you, didn't think you would jump on the nexxus, jayz, paul's, linus bandwagon.........take the 11900k for what it is, a gaming cpu and a good one, it's a one trick pony but when you figure it out it's a beautiful thing.
Ответитьthe 11700K is really good option , it's basically an I9 without the extra garbage intel threw in it.
ОтветитьThorough review, thanks.
I've said since its launch benchmarks, this one is for the MB folks to market--unless current price makes this CPU value sensible.
11700kf best value in 2022, often on discount for 190 on microcenter
ОтветитьI NEW ABOUT ADAPTIVE BOOST BEFORE RELEASE
Ответитьmemory latency are much better in intel systems but reviewers rarely talk about this. as a competitive fps guy i can actually notice the difference in my aim accuracy at 65+ns (amd) vs 40ish ns (intel). thats the reason i went back to intel because my aim accuracy actually dropped around 5-8%
ОтветитьRocket Lake sounds like a old granny nickname
ОтветитьThe bad thing is no matter how bad the 11900 is, Intel has defined it as the 11.Gen and all people have to accept that, if they want or don't want and the Ram 5333hz works only with the 11.Gen
ОтветитьSo I found a 11900k on sale new for £299 in the UK , should I get it at that price ? I only have the gigabyte B560m AORUS PRO so I guess I won’t get the boost you mentioned , this is my first build attempt so it’s all very overwhelming to me right now , Nexus gaming charts put the 10900k above the 11900 on just about all tests, but then 10700k not far behind the either both generally cheaper the then the 11900k ?!?
ОтветитьIntel looks to be making their cpus for gaming.
Ответитьwould you recommend getting the i9 11th gen 11900k over the i9 10th gen 10900k? which is ideal for adobe suite?
ОтветитьThe i9 should be compared to the Ryzen 9, not the 7 🥴
ОтветитьStupid Leo hating inter
ОтветитьI hate those people who hate intel and I hate ryzen. God destroy it one day. Earn a dislike
ОтветитьThis was a meticulously done video. very informative. Thank you. I realize that you hooked up both of those '8 pins' CPU power connectors on the motherboard. Why?
I am one of those people who bought this CPU on the shelf. And as I was looking for an answer if I should hook up the second 8 pin CPU power connector or not, I found your video.
And to answer a question you asked about why would anyone looking for a bit more speed, would wanna choose this 8 core processor over a 10, 12, or 16 core processor, I can say this:
I am a music producer and in my workflow, besides the Z590 being a motivator, a single thread operation counts rather than the multi-core operation. In many other aspects of using a computer would probably benefit from multi-core capabilities but not music production. In that arena, single-thread computing and as much memory as you can get is what your aim should be...
Disaster ha ? Grandpa didn’t do real testing before making the worthless video
ОтветитьBought it anyway.
ОтветитьAfter having AMD for years, I dived into Intel with big happiness when buying my 9600K in 2019, and i'm very happy with it but this 11900K is a big step back in comparison with the 10900K/850K... So i won't change my rig before the successor of Alder Lake in 2022-23 😉
ОтветитьSo does the normal 11900 do adaptive boost? if adaptive boost kind of takes away overclocking it makes me think just got the non k and overclock the ram as normal?
ОтветитьThe Cinebench R15/R20 are deprecated benchmarks and their only usefulness is as lighter stability/stress-testing tools and not performance-measuring tools . Cinebench R23 is the only relevant Cinebench benchmark as it measures the performance of the current version of Cinema 4D and makes better use of modern architectural features as well as making better use of AVX/AVX2.
ОтветитьIs 11900F and 11700F worth buying?
ОтветитьSo long as it doesn't have all the Intel CPU bugs of previous generations.....
Ответитьwhat are your thoughts on Alder Lake?
ОтветитьThe 8 core 11900k when not TDP contrained uses more power than a 16 core R9 5950x.
That is absolutely pathetic.
Why are you comparing Intel i9 11900k to AMDs lower end Cpus, get the 5900x in there and compare apples to apples. tells me AMD still beats Intel cause the 5900x would kill that 11900k.
ОтветитьHello 9900K
ОтветитьMay I ask your opinion on the non K variants?
Do you think that the lower TDP will also affect the power consumption (in "duress") and thus temperatures ( in degrees celsius )
Thank you in advance!!
14nm. Apparently Intel thinks you can polish a turd.
ОтветитьFunny how nobody wants to compare maximum overclock to maximum overclock.
And to answer your question "why did intel even release rocket lake" well um maybe because they spent 2 years developing it & millions of dollars. Were they supposed to just throw it in the garbage & say sorry guys we are gonna wait a year & a half from the beginning of 2021 for Alder & release nothing for now smh.
And yeah don't expect Alder to be ready in 6 months. I think I'll upgrade my 4 core 7700k now instead of waiting another year or year & a half for Alder or for AMD to ship a ryzen 9 to an actual customer
Yeah if you are spending $1000 on a cpu & motherboard and running it at stock. Another review only considering core count & nothing else. Review debunked
Ответитьdesign and build a better one yourself then
ОтветитьIntel wouldn't win many of these tests if you put in the 5900X or 5950X in place of the 5800X. Granted those parts are not competing in the same price range (though in our market in Australia you can get the 5900X for the same price as an 11900K, but stock shortage an issue).
ОтветитьBased on its market segmentation the i9 11900 should be put head to head against the Ryzen 5900x not the 5800x. Unfair comparison in this review.
ОтветитьFor that i9 money, I'd hunt down a 5900x.
ОтветитьMissile striking Intel. Now thats a rocket science!
ОтветитьLEO HAS SPOKEN..YET ONCE AGAIN HE HAS HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD..THE ONLY REASON I SUBED TO THIS CHANNEL AT ALL...KEEP IT COMING LEO!!
ОтветитьIt might be "ROCKET SCIENCE" for you!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI'd like to ask one question - why is there only the 5800X here? I understand that both are 8 cores but the i9 isn't priced to match that CPU, is it? It comes in at a higher MSRP than the 5900X to which it obviously loses spectacularly. Why are you comparing a $600 i9 part to a $450 R7, not the $550 R9?
ОтветитьThis isn't an I9 its an I7 at an I9 price point.
Ответитьstick it in an android sbc tvbox for £100 retail, they got a mass market winner finally ^_~ or a 2 independent ports r8125 2.5Gbit/s ethernet version for £160
ОтветитьSeems like Intel just intentionally nerfed the 10900k then market the unlocking/boosting element as a "new" feature.
ОтветитьUserBenchmark has left the chat 😁
ОтветитьIntel's bulldozer.
ОтветитьYeah - It's not worth buying - especially if you enjoy overclocking, because (in my amaeture understanding anyway), there's no room left to do so - it's already running hot and at the end of its capability, thanks to the 14nm +++++++++++++++++ use. Or maybe those pluses should be minuses. Hmm? on March 30th I bought an i7-10700 (nonk version) for $230 and think it's the last Intel bargain for a while. - I think Alder Lake will be better than Rocket Lake, but expensive, and Intel will have to release one more generation before they realize if they don't get competitive on prices, their money making machine is in trouble.
ОтветитьThanks Leo I love your reviews!
I do have a question could you do a video talking about using AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-core, 32-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor, and Thread ripper using RTX 3090. As I am not sure if they would work well together. I heard there are performance issues with adobe software and blender. I really don't want to get an Intel 11th Gen as they are not worth it. Please advise many thanks.
