i think unbreakable armor glyph cannot stack with your talent & it just change your armor from 25% become 30%/ same as glyph of goul it cannot increase your goul pet stat when you have increase stat goul from talent, i try it before & after use glyph of goul it don't increase your goul stat when you have your goul talent

Frost is the go to spec for Naxx & Ulduar progression/speedrun groups. Alot of groups change their prot warris to frost dk's for snap trash threat.
If you ever would tank a boss just respec for it, but 90% in ulduar you will not main tank so who cares about ur midigation?

unholy dk spec. drop hysteria and put 1 point in crypt fever. now you heal for 15% just like blood with imp death strike.

after 6 months , the last spec is the spec everyone uses =D

A while back I PMed you on your server prior to wrath pre-patch. I am fixing to be an off tank and going unholy since I need to only provide aboms might but not icy talons. You mention bone shield struggles early on by itself.

What should I target as stat priorities?
In addition for the unholy build, would it be better than the blood build if I plan on off tanking the whole expansion?

btw the improved unbreakable armor states it increases the armor to 30% not by 30% so it's actually only a 5% increase in armor if it does what it says it should do. Is the tooltip wrong?

Frost tanking is not a meme. It is legit. Until such time as they do the talent shift where blood really does become premier tank spec, frost is solid.

1 other point of contention...you talk in last build about 1 purple gem and over exaggerate the benefit of that nano sized benefit but then you tell people that dual wield vs 2H doesn't matter. It is the exact opposite. Choosing agility over dodge, parry or strength on 1 purple gem is of no importance while choosing dual wield is a much more important mistake. The misses on dual wield are far more significant if you are min/maxing. Why throw away hits like that? A tad more dps = a tad more threat and a tad faster that the boss dies.

The glyph increases it TO 30%, not BY 30%. It's 5% more armor, which is respectable considering the uptime, but there are better options.

Idk if I missed it but I’m guessing stat wise they’re all the same? Defense, expertise, etc?

frost prolly ok for the start of the expansion? get def cap easily etc w dual wield.

I actually think Frost and Unholy are both better than Blood until ICC content. I'd also argue that Frost is better for LK because the amount of damage reduction is way better than the healing from Blood because either you or your healers are waaaaay overheating if you're main tanking as Blood.

I like Blood for some content, but I feel like the other two specs are just better. At least for my style of tanking, which favours mitigation.

I think someone ha already said this and since this video is a couple of months old it's probably something you've noticed as well, but the glyph of Unbreakable armor is not adding 30% more armor, it takes the 25% and bumps it up to 30%.

Im having some troubles tanking heroics even with 4k GS
First 5 seconds are hard against 3-5 mobs pulls, DnD and It spam makes me unable to make it easy for the healer. I don't have defense capped with such low gear so sometimes I die in 3 seconds

That's not the 25-man Frost spec. That's more of a 5-man spec. The 25-man spec is 23/36/(+12). At a minimum it picks up Veteran and UA. Last points can be spent on a combination of UH (Virulence/Dodge), Blood (triple buff), and BotN/Frost Strike (self-healing and dps). You don't take Howling Blast into 25-man unless you are only there to snap aggro trash.

Ur guide totally sucks dude like imaginw blood dk without its main cleave ability heart strike just for spamming icy touch on target wtf😂😂and in frost tank specc many errors u dont need glyph of disease if u pick glyph of HB but glyph of icebound for stronger cds icy talons or impr icy talons caz mostly u always have a frost dps in ur raid and u also need rime for that free HB proccs for higher threat!!what a wrath baby try making guides😂😂😂

I was unholy tank for t7, frost for t8, blood tank for t9 and 10. Also blood dps in ICC

DK single target tanking is god-tier in Wrath. I remember early on being able to solo tank the VoA25 frost boss with good dps.

Fortunately your early 200-264 trinkets will take you all the way through ICC too. Just stack armor and stamina (I think)

@rugs can you do a spec and professions comparison video for prot pally? Including the engineering value of armour gloves enchsnt vs threat, and nitro boots vs stam, amd comparing the gain of both of those if at all in comparison to extra stam from LW or Ench (assuming JC is second profession)

Heya! Like your videos. I would like to request a video elaborating on the fastest class to tank 5 man dungeons in low and high gear level scenarios.
As I remember it from retail (have not played much private servers), death knight is by far the slowest tank for 5-man content while bear druid is the fastest, especially in high gear levels where the healing from improved leader of the pack is so high that a ret pala with a mouseover macro for an occasional FoL is all healing that is required and therefore you can 4 dps dungeons.
What are your thoughts on this? Maybe take it to the next step by discussing speedrunning comps for 5 man dungeons. As someone who really enjoys the wotlk dungeons and plans to do daily hc often, this is an important aspect when choosing class for classic wotlk.

Hey buddy, - would you do a full in depth blood dk tank for main tank in dungeons - raids and buld for those !!

It almost seems like frost tank would be best really early on as it loses so much as gear gets better. But when tanks don't have a ton of armor yet the 55% could be pretty crazy in %physical damage reduction.

In regards to your first build: I think your use of Icy Talons is misguided, that only really increases your physical damage throughput and isn't worth taking if you're not going all the way and getting Improved. Instead of taking that, put those points into Black Ice (Increasing your IT threat by 10%). From there 3/5 in killing machine is good enough and we'll have to wait and see if the dodge given from anticipation forces your dodge rating into higher DR and depending on the answer to that, it may make sense in later tiers to put 2 points in Anticipation and the other 3 into Glacier Rot for another 20% threat (Although this may be a waste depending on how threat looks in the beta).

Bro, if you take the extra dot in unholy tank you can heal 15% of your total healt the same as a blood tank. You only need 1 point and it stack with the unholy dps extra dot

Mining is BIS for tanks in WOTLK due to the +60 stam boost. Then run engineering for movement cd.
