System isn't bad for Immigration, it's just making sure that no ppl from one country dominates in number. Even Indians wouldn't want outsiders to come and dominate in socioeconomic hierarchy.

Problem for massive drain is Indian economy where all ppl who r intelligent or wanna start a business have really hard time doing it.

Chinese, Middle Eastners and others aren't having that much Green Card waiting.

Also If not USA ppl will go anywhere they can, but coming back to india for most of time.

Other big thing is cost of education in US is significantly high for no reason, the deportation of kinda whow were brought up in USA that really bad.

The stress is huge i know this, ppl who r stuck r stuck untill changes in law. But u can try other Visa options like O or EB. or other countries.

The US Dream through Education is DEAD, EB-5 is the only way, whey I did it.

I agree with all your point but amount of political toxicity has been impacting my mental health for quite many years. On top, infra or lack of it is always and will always bad. Now don't give me examples of big highways our political heroes are innaugrating. I don't travel through them daily. I take trains and these are crowded. I take my car and roads are bad plus huge traffic. Entire day of a week goes into travel. So what are the options. Let's talk about it.

Well researched and explained. As an Indian who came as a student and is now an US citizen; I can confirm, from friends who are going through this, that not having future security is very debilitating. You don't know if you should get married, have kids, buy houses, invest etc. and the longer you stay in the US; the harder it is to go back to India and equally insecurity staying in the US.

I came to USA in July 2015. Graduated in May 2017 and worked for 3 years till May 2020. Then I had to return back to India and today with 10 years of experience I am earning a handsome package. Even if you don’t get US citizenship you will earn for 20 years in dollars and would be able to save good amount of money when you come back to India.

Guy in wig mad cute. I work in tech like 50% of the company is h1b. I see US companies investing more in latin America for h1b instead of India because of similar time zones and culture. My Bolivian friend had a 2 year wait time for GC vs my Indian tech lead waiting over 10 years. It sucks but I do understand the reasoning for country caps.

Have been living in the US for a decade. Every word she explained is absolutely true!! So all aspiring students and parents who encourage them to pursue their higher ed. in America, think twice on ROI before you spend your (hard earned or large education loan) money on US education and take an informed decision.

Need more financial freedom and food etc be in India

It depends on what you need at that moment in life
Staying anywhere doesn’t mean anything as you are experiencing every single year differently due to so many factors and circumstances

whatever you mentioned in the video is true, However it's better than India. I'm Indian Middle class moved to US in 2015, when I was in India we can't even afford to buy and maintain a cheap car. But look at me now driving a Lexus, staying in a nice house, chasing my passions outside work. I'm sure none of these could've been possible if I'm in India. None of my friends I went to school and college staying in India think of a life I'm living in US. The real problem India has is over population. The people who are leaving in India are doing a favor to the people living in India by leaving. So, be GREAT FUL. For anyone that's thinking to move any western countries- Do it, Don't hesitate. I know we are facing challenges with job market. They are always there. During pandemic people got jobs easily, but that's not the case now. Things moved back the way it is prior pandemic. The only change is social media. Before we don't have too much social media. Now, too much social media, we even forgot mainstream media. All this noise and chaos you're seeing is because of increased social media. Don't worry there is always a better life abroad than in India.

Correction: The US did not lack highly skilled engineers and programmers. The companies did not want to pay an american 200,000 a year when they can pay an indian 50,000 a year. And now it is why pay an indian 50,000 when AI could do it for free. It's the numbers game, the bottom line.

As an Indian living in the US for the last decade, I agree with some of what you said. Immigrants do not get the same benefits as American citizens. Their status in this country will be bound to their employer. Life is not easy here and there will be many uncertainties which can make many people anxious and depressed.

You're incorrect about comparing the opportunities and quality of life, though. Having lived in a first world country and a third world country, I know for a fact that I'll always choose the first.

Anecdotes are not a good way to compare countries with millions/billions of people. I'd suggest looking into some data to make a better comparison. Here are a few indicators to get a sense of how different life is for an average person:

Gross Domestic Product(Per Capita)
Unemployment Rate
Ease of Doing Business Index
Human Development Index
Income Inequality
Economic Freedom Index

Although the US isn't the best country in the world (I dont believe any country is the "best" country), these numbers clearly show that there is a very strong reason behind the worldwide high demand of an American life.

This was very interesting. To hear the failures of H1B from the Indian perspective. Let me say; it is BS for US too. One example-majority of desirable tech jobs on US job boards are just so employers can say "we looked and didn't find anybody that fills our requirements in US - we need H1B". So, lots of wasted time for workers everywhere.

Only drawback for people above 50 is that they cannot be part of the race in India. Here in USA , one can work without retiring and retire any time you want . Of course the health care has been hijacked by greedy corporates. USA is run by corporations and not by presidents.

Or do all these problems (specifically backlogs) also apply to immigrants from other countries? Because I have friends from Pakistan who're in the US and they got their US citizenship last year after I'd say around 15 years of living there or so ..

This is so one sided. Too biased, I am afraid .No one goes to the US with only and only a green card in mind. The problem is our current situation in India that pushes us out. No one wishes to leave their homeland. People who have returned from the US might not have gotten a green card but look at the wealth they have built. Also look at how many job offers such candidates get in India when returned. I have not seen personally that anyone has permanently returned because of all these laws. What I have seen is people moving to other parts of the world from the US like Canada. No one comes back to India in practice.

I decided not to leave the country and trust me I regret my decision every fricken day. Today my pay check had a deduction of 40k for tax, a premium I am paying to the Indian government on a salary in which I can't imagine getting my own property along with the usual expense. I am barely have any savings. Nor I imagine one with such a heavy tax levie. What am I paying this tax for? Getting Ram Mandir built?

We are totally missing the point. No matter what progress you are seeing in India, the actual impact is out of our life time. In our life time expecting India to achieve an average life style competing the globe for a common person like me isn't going to happen.

My brother moved to Africa 13 years ago. We didn't no much about Africa back then but being an Xpat their, he earned enough to buy multiple properties in India and now he has enrolled to a Canadian university for masters intending to relocate. In other words, he used to earn few grands more than me back in 2010 and now he earns 7 times more than me only because of his compensation is in dollars. Where as I on the other hand earns around the same in global currency conversion what I used to make 10 years ago.

The list just goes no. I can give you reasons over reasons. I would suggest having a fair and balanced view when making such videos. All this would have made sense if India maintained its credibility. But this place is so adamant to become a joke on a global scale…

Ye waesehi hai ki ek jaahil kahe, yaar Mai Canada nai jaunga, thand bohut hoti hai, saada India changa si..

The best way is to get married to a citizen if you want to become citizen of America while you got your H1b visa and working in USA or if can get it arranged from India.
If Trump wins in 2024 he will restrict lot of people from coming to America. Plus the economy in America is deteriorating so lot of people are going to get fired because of being an Immigrant. And even if you get a job accommodation and medical plus bills will be high. They make billions and pay peanuts.

Her first statement that entrepreneurship is gambling was itself very very wrong. It's a paradox and can never become true. Entrepreneurs are driven by the spirit of their hard and smart work rather than luck. But bad luck does sometimes screw them as they were trying something new out of their own pockets and time; it does not mean you are playing around with your luck and asking people to wish you to attain your goals.

Right after my first few internships after my undergrad, I settled on a cleantech company and my team and filed patents before moving to the US for global exposure rather than a job with zero cost of education. I researched with the US Air Force under UCs, Stanford, and MIT in my first quarter as an Indian. If you have serious skills and you are serious, I don't think anyone will stop you; they will demand you.

So, First of all, it's not a trap. You will have to adhere to specific rules. We Indians are careless and criticize any system. Our education is developing. We are good till the Intermediate level, but even the best colleges lack funding and grants as political parties are driven by power and not education and R&D. We blame others irrespective of looking at our own faults. It is the same case for every developing country.

Look at the air people intake, the water we drink, and the trees we grow. Nothing is going well, and rather than taking care of anything, we are saying we are perfect and others are bad. Please don't argue about such things that you cannot control. You can work on yourself. Get a good life and share with others. Be a better human first.

Creating misleading videos on hot topics is easier than facing the challenges yourself. I am facing it for the betterment of my country, and I can summarize that I was mentally good in India but was not physically healthy due to the poor environment; I used to get sick every 1 month; what growth will I bring? If I am unwell. Health is wealth, not vice-versa isn't true. Come when u feel u should. Ty! Tc!
