Hey Ludi, do you plan to have a Moldova playing tall video ? Just like the Milan guide :)

I spent quite a lot in EU2 trying to make Moldova a regional super power, and it's nice to see a useful guide for a newcomer to EU4, congrats! One thing I noticed though, that this guide requires the Cossacks DLC (couldn't put all the estate ideas as in the video with just vanilla).

Im also from moldova, but live in germany and dont consider myself very moldavian, but its nice seeing someone else from moldova!

i’ve been trying for the romania achievement for a while now, i finally managed to crush the ottomans only for my ruler to instantly die as soon as the war ended and i got pu’d. that is the first time i have ever lost a campaign to a pu

update: used poland to get out of the pu. managed to have one independent king before getting pu’d by poland

This does not work if Ottomans guarantee serbia which happens all the time in my game, also Hungary does not seem to want Serbia's provices

ive tried this 20 times now and its not working. ottomans garuntees wallachia 50% of the time and 50% of the time hungary goes hostile suddenly

When I played as Moldavia I joined the war against Ottoman in support of Albania. The Castile , which was the defender of faith at that time was besieging Constantinople. I did not know that until I got this pop up saying impale Sultan. I was so confused. You see the good thing about playing Moldavia is that you get cores on most of Balkan in the early games and your allies give you all the occupied territories.

Ludi, most of the time the Wallachians are guaranteeded by the ottomans in my moldavian games. So this guilde dependes a lot in rng

Sorry mate, but I don't think you're strategy works. In all my 10 or something test runs, Wallachia is always guaranteed by the Ottomans. If you attack Serbia or Byzantium, the Ottomans will NEVER give you access. It's based on your army strength compared to ottos, their attitude and opinion to you. They start hostile, will never be anything but hostile, and your army is too small to make a difference. Even if your navy can beat up the Byzantines, you can't land on Constantinople unless you have a really good general. The only viable strategy as the Moldavians is to attempt to attack across the black sea, and try to build up your power base there. Every other strategy that I can think of is pure RNG, which is something I'm terrible at. Most of your other strategies are quite good, and this one is quite unique, but it simply doesn't work for me.
