Import Cost from excel to primavera 6

Dear Sir

I had a problem in Primavera P6, the problem is Performance % Complete and Schedule % Complete, can not roll up to Project level, but it is already rolling up to WBS Level, and please note that I already assign materials on activities.
Please anyone can give advice, to solve this problem, I use Ver. 19.12 and Ver. 21.12.

Hello, Thanks for the information again, but why when I export from p6 to excel the arrangement of activity ID was not in order, Do I need to fix the save excel before importing to P6. Its says the application has been intercepted please note the event code for reference. Event code TP CAT-3080-C. Thanks and God bless.

Q1. What is the complete name of the cell A3 ("BOQ..?")? And what it is referred to those letters ("A, B, C", etc)?

Q2. What information do you have in the column B, "DIV"? Why is it useful?

Hi, I believe that you should order the ID activities for copy the dates

So do you add an additional resource (CostPlanning) on top of the resource that is aleady assigned? Or can you use the reosurce that ois already in there?

But, is this the right way to add cost to activities? Typically it has to be by adding labor / material / Expenses to each activity. And that will drive the cost of the activities.

Good job!  This is very helpful.  So updating the budgeted units updates the budgeted cost.

1. Would you please elaborate the difference between the expense loaded from BOQ and the cost loaded for resources.

Is there any reason you wouldn't want to do this with something as simple as the default "budgeted total cost" or something like that?

Omar , you need to go to your setting in resource and select unit  and change it to 1  instead of 8 per hour and also make sure your max uni is 1

Hello , In order to avoid changing duration you need to go to the project before assigning resource and in resource setting , uptick Drive activity be default  

Omar, probably your resource isnt "material" resource type. then it multiples with 8 hours.

When im importing the budgeted total cost , the budgeted total cost in primavera is multiplying by 8 i dont know why ? Please help . Thank you
