When to wear brogues/derbys ?

I cannot for the life of me get into the style of chelsea boots. I hate them with a burning passion. Every other boot shes mentioned I have.

I feel like this is a trend most city type guys would wear. What about the manly country hard working kind of guy. We just don't all wear plaids.

If you wish to look like Austin Powers, then wear Chelsea boots. You might as well add the finishing touches to the look by acquiring a blue velvet suit and colonial lace Jabot and cuffs set.

If you wish to dress like a man, an actual manly man, rather than a metro, then leave the Chelsea boots where those belong, the 1960s.

While you are at it, leave behind the chukka boot as well.

A lace-up dress boot with a non-skid sole for winter is right. For those snowy days and rainy days, a duck boot is the right decision. Hiking? Wear a pair of hiking boots.

For meeting friends in the pub, moc toe "work" boots or service boots.

For that winter boot for the white collar environment, wear derby boots or Oxford boots.

Oh and leave the Timberland boot for the rappers. Timberlands were fashionable in the early 1980s but have long since been ruined by rappers.

in spring and summer i wear leather sooled western boots
