I'm taking it in a little bit more than a month from here and I think I'm doing pretty well, what I'd like to know is if there's an specfic limit for the words you can exceed on your writings, for example, will my marks be negatively affected if I write 9 words more than the maximum of 260?

its kinda funny when you said that 2 months its little time. Its monday and my exam its on friday, i found out last week that the writing has different types of compositions, I tought it was only essays. Thats why im here lol

Hi professor, I took my CAE last week. I need to ask you something only for peace of mind:

1.- It turns out that during my writing, looking back on it, I didn't use that many connectors, such as, nevertheless, on the one hand...on the other hand, to sum up, firstly, secondly, therefore...you name it. I employed an appropriate vocabulary required for the level along with the appropriate structure, though.

2.- The second issue is esthetical, unfortunately, due to your nerves that may play against you, I had certain pen-made blurs and the use of a corrector pen was not allowed. At least, my writing is perfectly readable.

My question is: Am I going to be penalized for that? Hope not. Greetings and Thanks in advance.

maybe you should use an essay example for next time to explain better... I watched this video because I though you were going to talk about, words we can use, how to do the intro, etc. but you spent all the time talking about... things that most of us know already

I'm 3 months away from the exam and I'm freaking out about the writing and speaking, I practice a lot but im not getting better at all. At this point I'm just relying on my reading and use of english strengths to rise my average

It's so nice that a professional like yourself thinks that 15 minutes are needed in order to prepare and structure you writing. I have always believed so, but everyone just kept telling me : that's way too much, even my teacher. If I plane for 15 minutes I then find myself having very clear ancd concise ideas, I find myself knowing what to write, what words (even high level and formal words) to use. I believe it's essential.However, Perhaps it's better to devote 15 minutes to planning, 25 minutes to writing and just 5 minutes to checking the text for any possible mistakes and going over it
