Thanks, Maxim! My code kept returning my images from storage out of order whenever there was a page refresh. But your code does not do this! I think it is because you are taking the storage urls and passing them into some state and then storing that state in firestore as opposed to just mapping through the firebase storage imgs in a useEffect. Who knows. I'll keep tinkering. Thanks again. Shannon

Upload an image or file when a user selects an image is not a good way to do this. You have to do all the uploading only when the user clicks submit. A user can change its mind when selecting an image, that would create an unnecessary file or files in the storage.

I think it would make sense to rename the image to a uniquely generate one, or the users ID. I kinda know how to do that, but renaming it strips the file extension, a) does that matter b) if it is better to keep the extension, how to keep it, but rename the file?
