Well done video. It was everything I needed to know to go and buy one. Thanks.
ОтветитьMy 320 Pocket Hole Jig has a different system to determine the drill depth and the jig stop locations that the jig shown in the video. My drill has ingraved indicators for 1/2, 3/4, and 1.5 inches which are located by matching the viewing port in the collar and the jig has depth settings corresponding to the three depth settings on the drill for 1/2, 3/4 and 1.5 inch thicknesses. These are indicated by viewing through three portholes.
What should I do if I need to drill pocket holes in stock with another thickness such as 5/8 inch or 1 inch?
The drill doesn't have any thickness indicator other than at 1/2, 3/4. or 1.5 inches and the thickness guide on the jig can only be locked at those three settings.
Should I set the unit up to drill for a greater or lesser thickness - i.e.: should I use 3/4 inch indicator when drilling in material 1 inch thick or should I use the 1.5 inch indicator? Or, is there another fix for this situation???
You didn't say how to figure which length screw to use
ОтветитьThanks first class demo, just bought the R3 today cant wait to start.
ОтветитьAwesome informative video, helped me very much thank you!
ОтветитьThank you. Good tutorial for me. Old. Woman (80) from Iowa. I am a lifetime furniture re-doer of previously owned furniture. Refinishing and some changes on bases etc. I wish I had this when I was young. I may have a few more projects in me. I bought this jig.😀
ОтветитьOh, man, in the first three seconds, I was looking at a Claymore.
ОтветитьI am trying to build base for dresser adding legs. Arrangement of jigs? 80 year old woman from Iowa.
ОтветитьRight angles?
ОтветитьThank you!! Very good presentation.
ОтветитьMy question is, by using the drill bits it comes with, is it going to make the holes to big if I’m using smaller screws?
ОтветитьThis is the most legitimate explanation of this jig. I will finally use mine that has sat in my shop for 3 years.
ОтветитьI just bought this tool for a garden gate project and was wondering how to use the system. Good clear explanation. Thanks.
Ответитьvery helpful and well filmed
Ответитьlol at the diabetes pork squeezing out around his wedding ring. oink oink piggy
Ответить👍👍🌹🌹
ОтветитьVolume kinda Low…
ОтветитьSlim, QUIET, works great. I wanted modern and out of the way. This is it!
ОтветитьI love this video,thank you
ОтветитьThank you for this great video, I like how well you explained everything! I have had the same jig for about 2 years, but the instructions are very confusing. Needless to say I have been doing it wrong all along!! Thank you! Kreg should be paying you for his great tutorial!
ОтветитьDesigning a closet. Thanks for this
ОтветитьThanks, really helped.
ОтветитьGreat job keep up the good 👍 have you done any newer version of this video maybe a project your working on. Awesome detailed video.
ОтветитьThank you, this was just the guidance I needed in order to use this jig!
ОтветитьHad the exact kit for 8 years now. Still the easiest way to make furniture compared to dowel and biscuits.
Thanks
I just got the R3 system with a small kreg clamp on Amazon for about 40 USD (789 MXN). Works just great!
ОтветитьI ended up purchasing the "Kreg" Brand jig today after having to return the less expensive brand realizing that Kreg has dominated the "Pocket hole" industry.. thus making the screws readily and easier to find...NTL, what I'm getting at here is that when I recently owned the other brand, the instructions stated specifically - 'if possible, use the higher speed setting and lowest torque setting on your hand drill in order to drill in the holes' I don't know if this is a standard practice with the Kreg Brand or not.
ОтветитьDo you have to use Kerg screws?
ОтветитьDo you ever want to use glue?
ОтветитьAnd 2x4 ???
ОтветитьAgreed
ОтветитьI hadn’t used mine in quite awhile. You presented an excellent video on the kreg pocket hole jig. Thank you
ОтветитьGreat video. Explanation was to the point and not too wordy.
ОтветитьFantastic video.
ОтветитьThanks that helped a lot.. Cheers!
ОтветитьThank you for your video, it is short, consice and to the point. Now i will go buy a pocket hole jig
ОтветитьDifficult to hear.
ОтветитьExcellent video , it answers all my questions.
ОтветитьExcellent video - just what I needed. I have the same Kreg jig, but haven't used it in some time and forgot how to use it.
ОтветитьGreat video. I am torn between the Kreg and a couple others.
ОтветитьGood video, thanks
ОтветитьVery helpful. Thank you.
ОтветитьYou should probably have added a bit about screw selection. Do you use 1¼" screws or 1½" screws for ¾" material ?
ОтветитьI just saw your video after getting this Kreg system for Christmas - Very helpful. How would attach (and set up the depth) for a perpendicular piece such as a drawer front to the drawer sides?
Ответитьwhat is the best, lightest wood to use for cabinets? I'm trying to make some for a camper trailer so needs to be lightweight..
ОтветитьСпасибо большое, мне очень помогло определиться!
ОтветитьGood stuff, simple and effective explanation and good video.
Ответитьhi did you find the drill bit shredded the blue plastic a tiny bit at first? When you have drilled your hole, how much of the drill bit goes through the wood at the back end - is it all the pilot hole section?
ОтветитьHow do you know how far in to drill the screws? Is it just by feel pretty much?
ОтветитьThank you for this video, really helpful.
