ОтветитьI agree with everything you say, and I also have used some of them. Unfortunately some employees will retaliate after using any of these techniques. And it’s easy to notice the gaslighting that comes after asking for one.

Several things are wrong with this.
1) Companies are routinely stagnating wages so they can profit off paying people less than they are worth.
2) Experience almost always makes a person better able to do any job, so time with a company SHOULD be valuable, they just don't see it that way because they want to exploit you.
3) Have market research on pay rates and if possible another job offer. Do inform your boss of your value and give them the opportunity to retain your services, if they choose not to, you weren't being 'hostile' ITS JUST BUSINESS.
Hey Don, the most substantial increases come from getting offers from other companies. Wouldnt that be the better route if looking for a pay increase?

So many of these kind of videos, articles, and lists are written by people that are so far out of touch with the average guy or gal that they're just not useful. I like that he didn't just list out the reasons either, but also gave suggestions to what you SHOULD say. Very well explained. This is a big help.

Ответитьanother thing! why should employers not discuss raise with other employees? this benefits psychopaths in power that want to cheat certain people out of fair wage. if you are not discriminating by gender or class than why should people not discuss wage? that is only FAIR. not discussing pay with other workers is a way for garbage companies to get away with BREAKING DISCRIMINATION LAWS. you should know that, but you're a corporate puppet for the amazon's of the world.
