It all came down to a few states. We have become polarized and the electorate has become so predictable you can pick from a couple of true swing states just a couple of counties that can be pushed either way and win the electoral votes of the whole state just by the tiniest of margins. If the same tiniest number of votes went the other way in these 3 states, we have would be having a different conversation. Maybe it is my age, but calling this a "blowout" election is laughable. People have been analizing this in all kinds of ways, but when I see interviews and talk to people, of how or why people voted the way tbey did. It was not too complicated. It was the economy. A great many elections I have been through were lost because of the economy. People feel the president controls the economy. I don't think the average American even knows how the government works, much less macroeconomics. This is not the Superbowl.

I voted for Democrats every two years for decades, the woke socialist progressives turned me off but I reluctantly continued to vote for Democrats but that is over now. Good luck to the progressives I hope they do well, I won't be voting for them.

The Dems are going to be the minority party for a generation because the party is run by the Amherst college faculty lounge types and not the Main Street types. There are a lot of totally corrupt Dems in L.A., N.Y., and Chicago. Time to clean up our own mess to win. Trumpler is explicit about his criminality and that is honest. The Dems try to act like they do not have equally dirty people. This does not work. You have to be real. I have been the oldest person in the L.A. Twin Towers at 67 and 72 on false charges. The sheriff's tried to put me into grave danger. It backfired. All the gangsters said "Come and sit down with us George." The sheriff's had to watch while we talked and then I taught them evidence law and changed 100's of cases including a Murder 1. The public defenders, actually most are public prosecutors, are useless. They allow illegal prosecutors on misdemeanors against Section 271 of the L.A. City Charter and taken to trial without the Federal and State demanded "Exculpatory Evidence." Dems time to take down our own corruption per law. We have to prove we want "All Equal Before Law, and The Rule of Law." Fake does not cut it. Deal with reality.

America is big, with people from everywhere. Native Americans make up 3%, 60% of Americans are of English, Scottish, Irish and European descent. Black 14% Latinos are 18%, Asians 4%. Dems need to re-brand and become more forceful…and for this they need a leader to rally around. I’m concerned that if the Dems don’t emerge with charismatic leadership by Jan 20, Trump will crush any that emerge after that.
Additionally, the Dems need to court centrist Republicans in congress and try to flip the house..if for no other reason than to buy time until the mid terms.

Most of the current crop of Democratic leadership are still in denial about the role their corporate donors have played in all of this. They are squirming around, flailing, searching for ANY excuse but the truth. What they need; what WE the People need, is a new FDR.
