This demonstration looks so easy but it's not. I bought the 60 volt weed pro and it's a pain in my butt. I had to take the bottom off again because the string broke off right at both holes and I couldn't get them out. Now I can't get the bottom back on as before. It takes two people and a screw driver. My weed eater is sitting on my table and try as I do, I just can't get the bottom to snap right in like this guy has his do. I would never buy this brand again.

If you don't have to take it apart to get the line out, how do you get the old piece of line out? 😅

I just got my Green Pro 80v 16" model similar to that. I'm having trouble with the handle assembly. I tighten the knob but it only has one bolt. It's not sturdy enough to support weight of machine. Shaft keeps popping out of the side that doesn't have a bolt.

Thanks so much, you just saved my sanity with this video, looking at the spool it makes no sense at all. Follow these steps and don’t ask questions. That will get it done, it’s a two minute operation if you do.

I have the 60V trimmer with the green head, and it doesn't seem that intuitive like the trimmer you just showed. The tap/advance feature doesn't seem to work and i bough the prerolled spools from greenworks. Not sure what i'm doing wrong. Any advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have to restring/rethread like that as you trim to move the string along (during and throughout EVERY trim)? Or do you do that ONLY when you run out of string completely and need to replace the entire spool?

Also, must you remove that black cover plate to do this, or were you just removing it for demonstration purposes via closeup?

I have only used a trimmer once and fought with it until I gave up. I need help. My lawn guy cracked and put holes in my new siding and has pulverized 2 shrubs after only 2 mows. I now need to order new siding which will not match because it'll come from a different lot. Please help. I hope you are still answering comments and that this posts.

Can you get the Load N Go head as a replacement part for an older model Greenworks 60V the kind with the battery that loads from the back end ?
Would it be interchangeable with that style / model ?

The line replacement mechanism is such a pile of garbage. Kinda-sorta works when it's brand new, but once the bottom part gets worn it's impossible to see the arrow that you have to line it up with, and nearly impossible to get a grip on it to wind it.

I just spent an hour and a half trying to replace the line, see if any alternate methods could work, it's an absolute mess. How is this supposed to be better than the old method of cutting individual pieces that go straight through the middle, and replacing them manually when necessary?

This is more work than that even when the thing functions correctly, and just plain doesn't work at all when it's worn. I'll never buy another trimmer with this design again.

Other than that, the trimmer is a great product with plenty of power and long battery life... just wish I could use the freaking thing!

If the manual doesn't say not to touch the head with a battery inserted (and it probably dooooooooooooooes) then it should.

80V version with 4Ah battery on sale at Costco was cheaper. Essentially you buy the trimmer, they throw in a free 4Ah battery.

trimmer works well but the line feed system is poor. If you use basic round line it's better but twisted line wants to bind up and cross over inside the spool causing it to become almost impossible to load the line. I've just gone back down to round line and only load about 10ft of line at a time, anything more than that and you would need some large channel locks to grip that knob. I would buy this again without hesitation if they made improved the line feed, but would never recommend buying this in it's current state!

Thanks Kenny! After purchasing the 80v trimmer and leaf blower combo at Costco last year. I had misplaced the directions and really found it difficult to wind the trimmer. Your video is the best and a saved me that headache moving forward! Quick and easy! I highly recommend this trimmer as well as the leaf blower!
