It says under someone's page who I do not follow and is a public figure and I occasionally look at their posts. I never comment or message them. It says you have restricted so and so and then an option to unrestrict. Did I do this by mistake? Am I the one who placed the restrict by mistake? Don't know why I would do that.

Bro, I have a question. When he blocked me. I click his account for restrict. Then when I saw on messages . It's disappear quickly saying it's restrict and when I look for restricted account it's none of the list.
I used my other account to check and then I blocked my main account. And then next I used my main account to click restrict on my other account and then it disappear. I check on restricted account it's none of the list again. So in conclusion, only it will be applicable when you unrestricted to a person if he/she wasn't blocked you.

I always think restricting and blocking is used when you have an issue with someone like if there's nasty stuff being said or harassment etc. I don't understand when people do it for no reason like when they speak to you and follow you but then suddenly put a restriction on. No my safety isnt a huge priority on instagram.. besides people can hide their following from their followers. thats a normal option for tiktok and many other platforms but not for instagram
