LIVE SURGERY DENTAL EXTRACTION AND BONE GRAFT

I'm getting an extraction tomorrow

I watching this 12 days post surgery thank god for sedation 😂

I just had one of these done 6 days ago lol but on Number 19 and in two weeks I’m having to get Number 2 extracted. It was supposed to happen on the same day but the root 6 took an hour and half and 19 took damn near. But I was under general so I could t be out for all that I needed. Now just to wait 6 months till I get the implant for 19 & 2

I have a upper front tooth which lost most of the bone , even the tooth is still there , but it is a bit loose now since no bone holding it. I had two consultantions with two surgeons. The first surgeon told me he will use a long implant (unknown brand) , and screw it up to my nasal jawbone, and then put up the biocompatible material + membrane at the same time , and then will put a temporary front tooth directly above the implant, I asked for Strauman but he told me the type of implant is more important than the brand. The second surgeon did cbt X-ray, then he told me my case is super complicated, since it is the upper front tooth , aesthetic is very important, he told me he will remove my wisdom tooth, and then get bone from my wisdom tooth and mix with some bio material, and then need to wait bone graft to hail for 6 months, and then only can put implant and wait for 4 to 6 months , then a crown, and will have to wear an Invisalign brace with a tooth attach on it for 6 months, the total treatment is one year , and he is using Staruman. The second surgeon told me it is rediculous to put a real crown on bone grafted area even you have a long implant since I basically have no bone on my upper front toth, and my end result might have a very big long front tooth , since the bio material is not strong enough to support a real crown. Just wondering which surgeon do you think is better?

Do you recommend iv sedation or local anesthesia for patients? I am getting my tooth #10 extracted and will need bone grafting.

Just got this today under local anesthesia lol so weird to actually see the procedure on video no need to be put to sleep as long as your dentist has good numbing! I didn’t feel anything but pressure.. Go back in 4 days to get my flap until i get my implant.

Had one of my central lateral incisor extracted 11 years ago and never had the bone grafting procedure done to me and was never brought up. Now it seems impossible to have dental implants anymore.

I'm supposed to get like 7 extractions on my top. And bone graft. Getting a full top denture eventually. Will I be put to sleep or anything. I don't think I'll want local anesthesia for all those extractions. Scary.

They really need to make dental hygiene an entire school subject and classroom experience

The NHS just rip the tooth through the front of your skull which leave a huge vertical gap that never fills.
They dont tell you that of course, they just do it.

Hey my tooth is attached to my jaw bone so they have to do surgery to get it out what would that feel like? I’m soooo scared I’m getting it taken out tomorrow

Had this done this week in Alanya Turkey I am fine and only had one painkiller so professional and after care second to non I had fear from uk dentist I’ve had 4 implants 1 bone graft and crowns it has been so well organised I couldn’t recommend it enough

I got this done last week and getting my stitches out this afternoon and was wondering how it was done from an observers perspective. It was my #3 molar. He was done in 24 minutes. I was impressed!! He was gentle too, from the injections to pulling, just the whole process. I have a high pain tolerance, but that doesn't mean I want Dr. Evil pulling my teeth 😅😅😂🤣🤣🤣 So thankful for my new dentist and this video.

Ok so old school we never had bone grafting anything out into our mouths! Pull the tooth and be done! What changed? Why all this new technique??? Unless your planning on getting implants then ok you need a foundation, but if not why this extra step of grafting?

Im having 2 taken out on the top back, then implants a couple of months later. Very nervous, not sure if I should be under general anaesthetic or local?

is it normal for the collogen plug to fall out or disapear after day 1? I had my bone graft a couple days ago, but by the 2nd day the collogen was gone

Why do some people have their gums pulled up for a bone graft and this one doesn’t?

Are they always supposed to see you up? I don’t remember mine doing that

Had this done a couple days ago. The tooth was giving me extreme pain for about a week before I was able to get an appointment in. Now the recovery is giving me just as much pain lol

Still, the procedure is very interesting. I cringed a bit when I saw the tooth come out and thought to myself "THAT'S what it looks like?!" Makes me impressed by the anesthetic more than anything lol. To have what is effectively just a chunk of bone ripped out of your mouth like that while barely feeling anything is crazy to me.

Just had this done this afternoon. I have an awesome dentist that allowed me to watch him work on my mouth. My wonderful wife worked in dentistry for close to twenty years. I has so many questions and she was more than happy share with me her days at work. That you everyone that works in these fields.

Can you remove bone graft if it is irritated and inflamed ?
