Hi Dr. Dray, immense gratitude for you and your content. I needed your opinion on my skin routine. I have normal to dry skin and have been acne free most my life. However I recently encountered and recovered from bacterial acne (completed 2 months with Doxy 100mg) and now treating acne spots on forehead and cheeks. Here's the routing I follow -
AM: (All days) Cerave BP 4% cleanser, cetaphil moisturiser, 1% clindamycin, sunscreen
PM: Mon/Thur - Cerave SA cleanser, clindamycin, moisturiser, Tretinoin, moisturiser... Tue/Fri - Cerave SA cleanser, moisturiser, clindamycin, cerave retinol... Wed/Sat - Cerave SA cleanser, moisturiser, clindamycin, 6% glycolic cream... Sun - Cerave gentle cleanser, moisturiser

what should you use on your face when you are not using a salicylic acid cleanser cause you must only use it three times a week, so what should you use to cleanse your face on other days

I have always had very oily skin on my face and especially on my nose, i tried using cera ve facewash cuz i saw has salicylic acid but after using it day and night i noticed that i have more blackheads and sometimes even acne, am i doing something wrong?

I feel much more prepared to purchase products that I think will work for my skin issues. I should share that I have a board certified derm that I see every six months for skin cancer checks. Have a question, can one use niacinamide (the ordinary formula) after salicylic acid face wash (by caudalie) and top it up with the Clinique moisturizer (moisture surge), as a morning routine, and replace the niacinamide for estee lauder recovery serum in the evening routine.

I have no idea why but I had an allergic reaction to the orange bottle of the Neutrogena 😢

I wash with Salicylic acid 2% cleanser for facial Seborrheic dermatitis, and it works really well! I wash with it maybe twice weekly and I leave it on for about 30 minutes or so! It's funny how they don't have many cleansers or external treatments for Seborrheic Dermatitis AND Rosacea, or ONLY for Seborrheic dermatitis! Tetracyclines have always worked for me in the past, too!

Im shaving my head regulary, and I get these really small bumps on my head everytime. There are barely visible but you can feel them and in certain lighting they show.

I have thick sebbeccous glands extreme oil seb derm need strong salicylic acid. My skin needs good thick leather foaming to break downr my thick oily sebum is extremely itchy. Causes me inflammation if I don't keep my oil sebbeccous glands free of sebum. I also have high DHT hormones cause inflammation and skin issues.

What kind of body soap (also for eczema ) do you recommend? My son’s doctor recommended dove soap 16 years ago but I’m starting to think it’s not great for the family skin (and aging). We also use Aveeno everything.
