When you a brand new safe, is the dial lock already open or do you have to spin it counter clockwise between 90-0 in order to open and get all the instructions inside?

My dial isn't doing the "lock open" to the right thing. After my last number when I go right to open it doesn't stop and open. Currently can't get the safe open. Mine has the key as well and that is working properly.

Does this work on S&G locks? I'll have to check but I don't see a second tick mark on the bezel; the bezel is raised to reduce the chance of people seeing numbers from the side.

If you can’t open the safe, try one number high or one number low when dialing up the lock. My safe was off by one number and it would not open. Its trying, but you have to have patience.
