My favorite google maps feature is Waze.

These tips are WAY down the list of things I need to know about Google Maps. The VERY FIRST THING I want to know is how to use it. It is NOT intuitive in ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM, and is VERY DIFFICULT to use for navigation. For instance, how do I split my trip into segments, so I can plan a day's journey during a much longer trip? I have been told there is a way to do that, but no one I have asked actually knows or can show me how to get it to display, much less how to use it.
Finding a restaurant or buying bacon is the LOWEST on my list of uses for Google Maps. And I'm NEVER going to put my work or home address in, first off because I don't want the person who steals my phone to know where I live, and secondly, If I was so stupid as to be unable to remember where I lived, I sure shouldn't be out in public, trying to use Google Maps to find my way home.
Please start over and give a basic tutorial about how to use Google Maps. THAT would be useful.

Somehow, my phone interface has no 3 lines.

Google Maps sucks, always taking the most sh****st route possible, every time calculating different route with similar conditions .....

I was just reading an article about AI used to map trees on the Earth I wonder if they could use AI and Google maps to count every tree on earth everywhere. Giving him more accurate description of exactly how much carbon is tied up in all the trees on the planet.

As of lately the blue navigation icon is not working properly and starts out as a blue dot that's not moving.. I have to keep playing around with the gps app to get it working properly and it's annoying especially when I'm in a hurry to get somewhere.. What's causing this??

I drive a truck for a living and I have millions of saved places around the United States. I wish I could search my saved places. Because I have so many of them I have to keep scrolling until I finally find it. It would be easier if I could simply search my saved places.

You can add a fair amount of pit stops or places you want to vist in the desktop website version for google maps. You can then send this map to your phone and pow, you have 10 pit stops because you chose to have 10 pit stops.

If google map app sets a alarm option in it so that it is useful for everyone who where using this app because most of the people were travelling from one place to another by bus or train in sleepy mood so that they will miss they destination by sleeping in vechile and were landing in another places so if google map app sets a alarm it is useful for everyone to reach their loction in correct time

Maps always showing longer routes. Any setting by which it can show shorter routes?

The worst part of this map is the direction (compass) needs a few seconds to orientate before it points to the direction you need to go, Heck! That's too late as one has to guess which direction to take from start. It gets more complicating if you are starting from a cross roads. :{

Is it possible to navigate to people on your favorites list or in your contacts just using their name instead of saying the address? Example is "Navigate to moms" or "Go to David Smiths"
