Bramblekit watched as Swiftpaw's tail lifetd into the air, teasing the kits. Tawnykit leapt onto the tom's tail and began squealing happily as she was swung around. Bramblekit could feel Goldenflower's hard gaze on his neck, burning like a flame. He shook it off and hopped onto Swiftpaw's back. He admired his brother so much, he knew Swiftpaw would make a good warrior. He hoped when he became an pprentice, Swiftpaw could be his mentor. "Swiftpaw! It's time to hunt!" Called Longtail, the tom was swishing his elegant tail back and fourth impatiently. "Coming!" Called Swiftpaw as he dropped the kits off. Then he continued, "I'll play with you're later. I'm going hunting with Thornpaw!" And, with that, he bounded towards Longtail, who was with Thornpaw. The three cats exited through the entrance tunnel. "Tawnykit, Bramblekit, nap time." Came Goldenflower's voice as she scooped her kits up by her taol. She carried them into the nursery and set them down. Bramblekit glanced around. Willowpelt was snoring with Sorrelkit, Sootkit and Rainkit while Speckletail napped with Snowkit. Bramblekit promised he would be the best warrior ever! Better than Swiftpaw!

Bramblekit felt a paw kick him as he awoke, what was going on? A buzzing filled his ears and he wondered if a bee hive had moved in. He forced his paws to carry him out of the nursery. He gasped. Swiftpaw was lying in a heap in the middle of camp. Wounds covered him from ear to paw, his mouth wide open as if he was about to shriek. Blood was pouring out, beside him, Brightpaw was lying in a heap as well, yet breathing. Bramblekit ran up to Swiftpaw before any cat could stop him. Swiftpaw needed him. Bramblekit needed Swiftpaw! He looked at the apprentices eyes, they werd stretched wide in horror and glazed. "No...Don't go...I know your just playing dead...Your promised to show me some battle moves! You promised!" He whispered into his cold fur, blood filled his mouth as he gazed at the black-and-white fur. "Shhh...He's gone Bramblekit." Murmured Goldenflower as she rubbed herself against her son, trying to pull him away. "No!" Protested Bramblekit, he forced himself under Swiftpaw. He would protect him.

For those of you who don't know, SwiftPaw and BrambleKit are half brothers.

I wish that bramble had some interactions with swift, maybe if bramble dies before the series ends we can see them reunite

I wish that siblings were addressed more in warrior cats-
And family as a whole tbh-
Like Snow'Kit is Lion'Heart and Golden'Flower's baby brother-
You'd think they'd be more upset about his death-

balled my eyes out when Swiftpaw died. people can see him as an annoying apprentice, but to me he just wanted to be as good as everyone else which lead him down the wrong path to prove it. i hope that in the books when Bramblestar was being a jerk, Swiftpaw watched and wished to his brother to change his ways. it would be real sweet though if Swiftpaw gave Bramblestar a life, or vowed to wait for him til it was his time to join star clan<33

This is honestly beautiful I love the storytelling and SwiftPaw is my favorite character thank you thank you so much for doing this is really heartwarming to think that brambleKit could still possibly remember swiftPaw…

It hurts me to believe that sometimes you never age in starclan, so Swiftpaw may stay an apprentice forever. He might never receive the warrior name he wanted.

See, this is why we need Swiftpaw's novella, to get moments like this! If we could get a Super Edition that showed events of the first arc from Leopardstar's view (which I don't mind, really fun read), then surely we could get events from Swiftpaw's view, show how he felt being unfairly stuck as an apprentice, and have him interact with his half-siblings (as first arc is from Firestar's POV, it's believable that he didn't see EVERYTHING, so it's no surprise there could be some stuff happening in ThunderClan that wasn't brought up in the first arc)

I keep forgetting that TawnyPelt, BrambleStar, and SwiftPaw were all siblings. This animation is super cute and the art style is awesome!
