Tests are not fair. For sure Intel will win. You've puted the CPU in the best conditions with DDR 5 5200 and the Z690 chipset vs the AMD with DDR 4 3200 and the B550 chipset. Put the Intel with DDR4 3200 with Z690 chipset and the AMD with DDR 4 3200 and the X570 chipset and now we will talk. Compare oranges with oranges or don't do anything.

750 dollars is a lot for a 5950x and personally I see it for 550 to 600 dollars so yeah I think it’s better

Well, we all know that this is an old video, but the actua; reason that the i9 performs better is the ddr5. If it was tested with the ddr4, the only place where it was about to win would bne cinebench r23 single core performance.

Please conduct same tests while streaming.

the thing is in different country its different pricing , for example in my country i got my 5950x for 600$ and 12900k a friend of mine got for 800$ so by my opinion i made the better deal since 2% faster is not worth 200$ and this is not considering the DDR5 that he had to buy, total my PC cost is 3 750$ since i use RTX 3080 ti and my friend pc costed well over 6 000$ since i ordered his pc and i tested both in my home his pc was about 4-5% faster for almost double the price.

still rocking my 5950X with a ROG Strix 3080 ti and will be for another 2 to 3 years.

5950x is now 18% cheaper than 12900k, better to buy 5950x as at those prices the price to performance advantage falls to the 5950x.

i have a B450I board and DDR4 memory, no matter how good is i9 perform, i wouldn't pay $800 to buy a new board that support 12th gen, and new DDR5 to have just 2% increase over DDR4.

power draw are abnormal and now imagine 13900k which would have 8 cores and threads more just like more clocks and cache and that means around 500watt vs probably around 250-300watt of 7950x

Price of AMD Ryzen 5950X is lower than Intel i9 12900k. Second, in normal mode power consumption, with AMD RX 6600 XT, is about 75W per hour. Third, AMD Ryzen had better performance in double precision (0.192Tflops vs 0.138Tflops for intel i9 12900k) ) and in this video is not mentioned. Price of DDR5 memory is double compare DDR4... etc.

Intel is being pathetic here tbh, releasing a 240W CPU to compete with a 140W Ryzen CPU... only to perform almost similarly.

currently the i9 12900k is more exspansive then the 5950x so ill probably go amd this time round

im i reading into this wrong or is it very impressive that ryzen older cpus can get this close to intel newer cpus while drawing less power all at the same time?
