Deka Deep Cycle Battery Gel 8G31

The Deka Gel Battery is a Deep Cycle Battery that is Sealed and Maintenance Free. The Deka 8G31 is commonly used as the Ford Think Battery and the Polaris GEM Car Battery replacement. Deka batteries are mfg in the US and have a strong history for performance.
Please note, GEM Car and Ford Think cars have an onboard charger that is configured to charge the gel type batteries. If you replace the gel battery with an AGM or standard, flooded lead acid deep cycle battery, the batteries will fail pre-maturely.
Also, the GEM Car batteries and Think Car batteries must be fully charged often. It is important not to let either vehicle sit off charge for more than three days. And to add to the chaos, the Think Car and older Gem Car models were equipped with chargers that are NOT automatic. This means that the chargers will shut off after a complete charging cycle is performed! Do Not Trust the Green Light on the GEM Car!
