gaming headsets aren't really great at all, you're honestly better off getting dt 770 pro's and a modmic or if you're really on a small budget some koss kcs75's with a modmic. you're going to be way better off, don't be put off by the koss kcs75 look, they sound fucking good.

Did you run the PC38X's into the EVO 4 or directly to the motherboard?

Would putting some kind of foam cover over the pc38x mic help to remove the breathing being picked up?

I tried the Evo 4 today (was looking for a more sleek setup). I don't know why, but in APEX it feels very muddy … like the separation is missing. I was comparing it to a 6x more expensive Schiit Stack to be fair.

PC38x is a bit noisy imo. Still good imo

I can't say about the others headset, but I have Alienware AW 510H or AW920H and thosr are best headsets audio quality I've tried so far, compared to hyperx Cloud S flight or any other headset from Hyperx I've tried so far, the audio is so superior, definitely if you are looking for a good headset, this might be a good option. I can't compare against Sesnheiser, cause I've never tried. But I prefer wireless headset and alienware AW920H was my choice, no regret at all.

I caught the yellow accent PC38X on sale not too long ago on sale for $139 U.S.D.
I think for that price they are an absolute steal.

Have you ever used openback headphones for gaming and editing? If so, how do those compare to your IEMS.

I like the soundstage and imaging on my k712 pro’s but do feel “disconnected” from the feel of the game and it becomes more much sterile, although pin pointing is extremely easy. Thinking IEMs might fix that feeling in trade for some sound stage ?

Hyper X Cloud II: Used it since 2014 and is now worn out but WOW, for $60 that headset is insane value.

cmon bro. you especially know this (i can see that you're pretty beast at gaming) that it doesn't matter what headphones you use as long as they're decent. Pro league gamers use shitty headphones so why should we worry about spending extra on this tech? Real skill comes from practice and when you become that good you don't rely on your peripherals but yourself. I can understand people spending on luxury items for MUSIC purposes but for gaming? you don't need to spend that much. just get good
