I still can not believe this is over a decade ago. I listen to this ANYTIME I'm feeling down. This man alone has kept me going.

Education is supposed to mean increase in responsibility which school itself doesn’t necessarily also mean because school administrators themselves almost never grow up!

I can’t even begin with this. The logic is flawed. But if it works for you.

Ivy league schools only take the students who are the brightest to begin with. That makes their job a lot easier, because those kids will succeed no matter what path they choose. If Harvard really wants to prove its worth as an educational institution, it should only teach those who need the most help. A smart person finds learning opportunities all around. It is only the intellectually less fortunate who need to be taught.

I had this video as part of my motivational video collection back when I was a university student. Lately I've been assessing my position and had a very shady memory of your words. I had to search. Going against the grain is true education, school is necessary for literacy but success requires mind activation.

this is so true. I honestly love learning and the subjects I'm studying at school. but school just ruins it by turning learning into a chore, and with the atmosphere of judgement and academic pressure. not to mention they don't teach you some of the most important skills in life. they don't even teach you how to get a job or how to function in society.

What I’ve been taught is people who say school is useless and doesn’t teach anything are the ones with bad grades and ones that do bad in exams and that they don’t know anything this isn’t what I think it’s what I’ve been told also question wasn’t bill gates successful in school and many other billionaires because he got to Harvard he just dropped out and after being successful in school he did good in career

got me thinking. I did two years of comp sci as I loved computers. dropped out. I got a nice job in the industry and now I can afford to study the things I love without stress. I can experiment with electronics and, software. fuck uni. why did I go. hated it.
