It's pretty hilarious that the developers thought that they were making an anti-gun game, when they were actually proving the opposite point. With guns, Subnautica is just an action game with some jump scares. Without them, it is a legitimate horror game where your only hope is to run and hide.

If you want third person atleast 500 feet far away in below zero is to start up a new save with story mode on, in the first cutscene, use free cam and disable it, you cannot get rid of it.

A cursed, almost ilegal, 18+ mod... You would build yourself a bed, get a Radio (from vanilla), get a transmission, a women is stranded, you go save her in a cyclops, you find her body, shes unconcious, you bring her to the cyclops, you go to your base, you place her in her room... She could be help around the base, like, being an NPC, to talk to her, she could go outside if you give her a better gear since hers is broken beyond repair, she could be doing scouting, and trying to find resources, if you have a scanner room, you could give her a Scanner room chip, and whatever you set it on, she could go outside and find it with the chip, and some things she might find on her way, you could place a Locker with her name on it (a big locker, her name could be given to her like if it was already her name, when she wakes up, and you go talk to her for the first time, Like "Adela/Clara/Elizabeth, etc.) And she would have her own oxygen/food/water/sleep statistics, so you should give her in her room a few lockers/machines a machine for water (water recyclator, or how is it called, the thing that gives you water and salt), then a wending Machine, a coffee machine, and a bed and a table with a chair to sit on, if you make her room look pretty, and take care of her, she could get attached to you, then you could do more things... The thing is... The game is played by dam children.... I dont think children play with mod, cause they might not know about them... But still.... Its a huge risk.... Although if there was a setting for the mod, where the 18+ stuff could be turned on, like by default its off, so shes just your new human friend, a d if on shes more than that...

They didn't remove weapons as a result of gun violence in the US they deliberately decided not to use any type of weapons (with the exception fo the knife of course) because they have previously worked years on PVP Shooters and were thus tired of weapons.

Another reason is that they eventually wanted the game to be rated the way it is now (10+) and not havin weapons helped with that. This is also why some funny voicelines the vehicles sometimes play upon entering it were eventually removed and why anything you can attack doesn't bleed red blood like it used to be back in the day.

Just plain false information to claim they didn't add weapons because of gun violence in the US that doesn't even make any sense.

A) the MC fish can't fit in the aquarium
B) they turn huge in alien containment
C) They stay that way when released.
