Awesome design thank you for sharing… I will make a ton of these in different lengths etc.
ОтветитьDude. Man. My guy. Can we be friends? Can I be your, “this guy always buys me beers and asks me shit about woodworking.” Friend?
Like, I’ll drive. I can cook pretty good too. I love board games but if you don’t, forget that shit, but if you do, bro you gotta see my board game wall.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
ОтветитьTo be honest with that amount of wood , be cheaper here b in Finland to buy them what with the cost of wood now
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. My comment is not about clamps but about the ripping only half way through the stock. I do that all of the time and I'm convinced that it is easier on the saw. However, I'm sure that I've heard at least one content creator say differently so I've questioned my experiences with doing so. It was good to hear someone else agree. Because I have a lot of rough stock that the saw doesn't have the capacity to through-cut, I have quite a bit of experience with it but, I also know that I can be quite proficient at being wrong. It is definitely safer. In fact, since often I have only an edge and face milled, I may send the stock through twice leaving only a small amount left to cut once the stock is flipped. I then lower the blade to barely remove what's left. That way, any variation is minimal and will mill out easily.
Ответитьso to make a clamp, i have to make a different type of clamp first!
jokes aside.... i love it!
I made two of them!! Thanks, John, plans were great and they work a treat.
ОтветитьThe wood costs more than clamps these days
ОтветитьImperial units are so insufferable though
ОтветитьJust curious.... do you know Chef John from the channel Food Wishes?
ОтветитьThank you for taking time, this was very informative, will enjoy this channel. Lol. The one video shot looked like Jenga extravaganza..
Ответитьthere are so many wooden clamps in this vid!
ОтветитьCool video... but title gives someone searching for budget clamp options the wrong impression lol. I'm starting my wood working journey, saw this, got excited... the realized if I had ten thousand dollars of equipment needed to make these.. it wouldn't bother me to spend the $50 for the clamp set at Lowes.
ОтветитьWhy not use a marine ply wouldn’t that be strong enough I’m not criticising I was just wondering
ОтветитьGreat videos! The bonus is your good voice!!
ОтветитьFabulous 🙏🇦🇺
ОтветитьI really like your style and inventiveness, really well done
ОтветитьI am very proud of you indeed . Your skills are to be taught . Well done .
ОтветитьWith the price of wood today and the time, I could buy some and use the saved time making something I really want and use
ОтветитьIf I had one ounce of this guys ingenuity I’d be golden, John you’re a wizard!!
ОтветитьCreating assets to create assets
Ответитьdon't have 1/2 the tools needed to make them. I'll just buy them.
ОтветитьMind blown! Way out of my ballpark, but I really enjoyed the watch!
ОтветитьOn the nailer - I recommend keep all body parts at least the length of the nail away from the nailer nose. Imagine a sphere centered on the nose of the nailer, with radius of the length of the nail. 1" nail? Keep at least 1" away from the nose. 2" nail? At least 2 inches away. It'll keep from having unintended body piercings.
Ответитьwhat wood did you use?
ОтветитьSweet :) Respect 👊🔥
ОтветитьThat DIY sander got me more excited than it should have XD
ОтветитьThank you very much I never thought of making my own clamps but I have been getting tired of purchasing them and they do cost a lot of money this is going to save me a ton of money
ОтветитьI like your table saw... can you provide the manufacturer and model number?
ОтветитьI am surprised you didn't just up the size of the breaker.
ОтветитьThose clamps are very nice and in several ways better than steel clamps. First, steel is hard; it's possible when swinging steel clamps around that you accidentally knock your project and leave a nasty dent. Less likely with wood. Second, steel clamps are heavy and have a greater chance of overpowering and throwing your project off balance. Third, it's satisfying for the ego and the pocketbook to make them yourself. Yes, they may not exert as much clamping force as steel does, but you simply don't need as much clamping force as steel gives; more force is not better.
ОтветитьDude really buy 2x8s to make 2x4s..
ОтветитьVery brave of you John... taking on Big Clamp like this! 😁 Excellent work... liked and subscribed and added to my ever growing project queue!
ОтветитьMy goood!!!
ОтветитьI cringed a few times when you were using the table saw. Not very safe way of working.
ОтветитьThey're giving them away at estate sales.
Just bought 4 vintage
¾"x4' pony clamps for $5 bucks.
Thank you so so much.
ОтветитьYou must have all the free time in the world! 🙄
ОтветитьI'm waiting for the "how to build a car out of wood" video..
ОтветитьAMAZING
ОтветитьIs this Santa?
Awesome video.
That’s not peening
ОтветитьFANTASTIC MAN! thank you!
Ответитьdo you cook?
ОтветитьBut what clamped the clamps that clamped the clamps?
ОтветитьLots of wasted time making wooden clamps, buy the steel type clamps .....time is money!
Ответитьthis is very good, but first let me have thousand dollar power tool
this idea is for someone who want to make a big party furniture, so no more buy clamp thumbs up
