The dealerships get big performance based bonuses from the manufacturer for total vehicles sold so if you're looking at a vehicle that is very similar to 20 or 30 more they have in stock they would rather get your business and make $200 then send you down the road to another dealership.

You don't need all of the blah blah blah in this video. THIS IS HOW YOU ACTUALLY BUY A NEW CAR ( At least in California ) I can't say for sure in any other states... This also typically only applies to your average car or truck. If you're going for a Nissan Z with Nismo package or a new Corvette or any special editions for that matter here is what you do. Go to the dealership and find the car you want and tell them you want to see the invoice. This isn't the MSRP sticker, it's the purchase price that the dealer is actually paying for the car from the manufacturer. The dealerships pretty much never actually own the new cars on their lots. It's called flooring. The dealer pays the manufacturer for the car once it's been sold. So like I said tell them you want to see the invoice BY LAW THEY ARE REQUIRED TO SHOW YOU IF YOU ASK! Once you see what they'll be paying the manufacturer for the car offer them $200 above what they'll be paying. This doesn't include taxes or documentation fees you'll still have to pay that stuff. The reason that they're going to accept your offer is because they really care about the total number of cars they sell. and if you're buying a car that they have 30 similar of then they would rather ge

Learned so much from this! I’m about to go buy a car for the first time (all my previous cars have been purchased from family members when they get new cars) and I’m paying in cash (came into a little extra cash recently) but I’m not in a huge hurry so I’m learning to take my time and get the price I want

I have about 6k in equity in my 2020 Cx5 touring lease. 3 yrs and 16k mileage. The car is still same as new. I Didn’t even come close to the 30k allotted. How do you know they are giving you your equity?

With what I’ve been seeing is most dealers really don’t go much under MSRP. I’ve used all these methods and multiple dealers and most I’ve seen was roughly $1500 under msrp.

I have recently been in the new car market. I have been doing a ton of research on several vehicles, gone on multiple test drives and finally narrowed it down to a 2024 Outback Wilderness. I did more specific research on that vehicle and found the dealer I was working with didn't have much markup to begin with. Maybe $2-3k over MSRP on a $40k+ car, so there wasn't really a lot of negotiating to be done. To make matters worse, they didn't have the exact vehicle I wanted because every one they had was loaded to the gills from the factory and they would have to try and get what I wanted from another dealer or order it. I still tried every tactic I've seen in your videos and the most I could get them to budge was $500. It's not a lot, but it was something, a little more than one payment. I should be going to pickup my new vehicle today. I think it just needs to be said that sometimes based on the model you're looking at, the dealership you're working with, and other circumstances such as actual inventory, you may just not be able to get much of a deal. However, if you push hard enough you may be able to get at least a little something out of them.

Here's another, if you're truly a professional car salesman you find out what that person's budget is and you find a car that fits that if you agree on an out-the-door price of a vehicle and then no matter who's financing at a credit union special financing from a dealerships proprietary lender finger-like great the car was Thirty-One thousand on the sticker we got it down to twenty-eight thousand and we're saving a few thousand but oh my goodness with only my $1,500 down payment I can't afford the monthly payment you're not a professional

Thank you guys I love your channel. I have a question. if the salesman ask you what do you plan on doing with the vehicle? Is it OK to tell them the truth? for example, I plan on towing my boat or going on long road trips.

Hey guys I’d say if you’re going to negotiate do the research on the exact vehicle you’re looking at. There is a tool that will help you look at it that way that our dealership used in order to get direct information in the exact used vehicle before we put it in inventory. I don’t want to post a link to it here in the comments because I don’t want to be marked as spam but it is an affiliate link. I wanted to help on the other side of the dealers desk. Use the exact information on the exact vehicle against them. It’s only $10 a report but it’s worth it to bring that paper into the dealership and hit them with some numbers of your own, the report will bring up recalls, owners and all

Prices continue to soar and dealers are pricing vehicles far more than their blue book or even manufacturer MSRP.
AND, it is all manufactured to ROB US BLIND......THE ENTIRE AUTO INDUSTRY HAS GONE FULL BLOWN CORRUPT!!!!!!

As a salesperson at Mercedes-Benz, we use the same resources you all use. When the offer just doesn’t make, we simply just don’t call back. We’re willing to discount and stay UNDER the current market value for the vehicle. We constantly adjust pricing daily to stay competitive, but we won’t entertain a ridiculous offer. Some dealers do markups or mandatory add ons, we don’t do that. That’s weird lol. But we offer packages that are 100% optional. Most realistic dealerships are aware of the messy games and ways car lots try to get over on customers, but you have to realize not every dealership is here to play games and sneak money in. Sometimes we genuinely just want good honest business plain and simple. When my car is listed for $55k and you want $53k out the door we simply just won’t have it. Reconsider your offer, do some research on our vehicle based on Y/M/M and mileage and come to us with a more realistic offer and maybe we’ll consider it. Otherwise, stop treating EVERY dealership like it’s a scam.

I worked six months as a car salesman. I never met one car salesman (or woman, most are men) who was honest. Never ever let the car salesman do the financing for you. If you go to a dealership, tell Mr. Friendly salesman that you're checking around for the best price. If he gets snooty, or tries some sort of tactic, turn around and leave the dealership and never go back to that one.
Never go there and tell them straight out that you want to pay cash with no financing. Tell him you want time payments. Let him figure out all the financing first. Let him think that you'll accept the dealership's financing. When he shows you the paper work, ask what the price of the car is and then tell him you'll pay cash. You'll save money that way.
Never let a car salesman offer you an insurance "deal," believe me you'll lose lot of money, no matter how the SOB says you'll save.
The best way to buy a car is to look on the internet and even fly to place where the best price is and drive it back. It could be serious amounts of money you'll save. I do not know if I recommend buying a used car. (Especially from a dealership or even worse a used car salesman.) There's an expression when you do that, buying someone else's headaches. Because with a used car, you never know what you're buying. For instance, you don't know if whether or not someone played with the speedometer. It can also turn out that the car you bought is a lemon. If you want to go to court when that happens, you can, but it's a lot of rigarmaroo and there's a good possibility you may not win. Takes a while too.
The best place to buy a used car is from one of these guys who repairs cars for a living with his own shop. For the most part, they're honest. Try to find out the guy's rep.
Me I'm cheap. I checked which car has the most reliability and bought a new car that was recommended. I bought it with a stick shift because it's better and lasts longer than a manual. I've been driving the same car that I bought in 2005 and it's still going.

I had a good friend that would go car shopping with his wife, they would walk into the dealership and he would say that they can help his wife with whatever she wants. They would start to drool and quickly start showing her cars. Little did they know that she was a very informed and shrewd customer. Within a couple of hours they would be sweating trying to sell this women a car and she would be beating them down. Mean while my friend would be test driving every nice car on the lot and having a good time.
